This is the big boy league OS. It's not fair. But it is driven by results and the results of this team suggest there's gonna be heads rolling.
Yeah just hope McSnead figure out how badly they fucked up with the defensive roster. They're at fault for the defense we put on the field. They need to learn from this moving forward otherwise it won't matter what DC we put out there.

I see people on twitter thinking Raheem's gonna get a head coaching job. Then thinking maybe Staley gets fired and returns to the Rams. That is wishful thinking.

If Raheem was gonna get head coaching job it woulda been last year. I don't see anyone offering him a job after this season. Maybe some interviews to satisfy the Rooney Rule. And I don't see Staley fired after 10 wins and a playoff appearance.

The only way we're getting a new DC is if Morris decides to go somewhere else. And I don't see that happening either.

Our anemic offense sure doesn't help a defense when they are given almost the entire load.

Our D automatically gets MUCH better if we can get a league leading offense again.

I am in the minority but I can't find much blame for Morris based on this year.

Especially when he did well the year prior.

We are pretty close player wise to be stacked.

Yes, now the question is DO YOU SEE IT?
Yes.. and it's sad to see so much anger directed a current Rams coach whose unit performed EXCEPTIONALLY in the playoffs and was key to winning a Super Bowl.

I see it... very, very clearly.

And our “ championship” defense was average at best

But here on ROD the muppets will try and convince you it a number 1 defense and Raheem Morris isn’t the problem…

Raheem Morris has had a top 10 defense 1 time in his coaching career. That right only once! And it ranked 9th in 2010 with the Bucs for points allowed per game.

3 years HC with Bucs, 1 year DC/HC Falcons, 2 years Rams DC. Let’s look at the numbers:

Bucs 09-11: PTS RANK 27,9,32 YDS RANK: 27,17,30

ATL 2020:pTS RANK: 19 YARDS RANK: 29

Rams 21-22:pTS RANK 15,17 YARDS RANK 17,19

So as an average rank of his defenses as a HC and DC he averages 20.7 (21) out of 32 teams for Points given away and yards he averages 23.17 (23) out of 32 teams.

The guy has fielded a top 10 defense one time for points at rank 9 in 2010.

He is trash and his aged cover 2 philosophies don’t work.

Very average season and a defense saved by HOF’s, and that’s it. He’s always been average and continues to be below average.

I agree. As counterintuitive as it sounds, our D might just need an upgraded OL.

His defense was above average… AVERAGE… in many ways this year… a year marked by some bad personnel decisions and injuries.

If you care more about regular season results than the playoffs, that’s your prerogative… but Morris’ postseason D significantly outperformed Staley. Period.

Blame is not limited to Raheem by any means. I have acknowledged that the pieces on defense are subpar, in both the secondary and at blindside edge.

He can definitely be blamed how he situationally played at the end of some games this year as well as the offense can be blamed for how shitty it played at times. Unfortunately, it didn't help that the offensive line was ravaged by injuries. All in all, it was a shitty, weird, and unlucky year for us as a TEAM in general.
