Was literally about to post this. Missing the two wide open options is terrible. But then to throw the ball away on 4th down??? Just shows his football IQ.

You have to try to make a tight window throw there. A jump ball, a back shoulder, a deep shot. Something. You have to give one of your guys a chance to make a play. I bet thats why Campbell called him out today to the media. Crazy to make that type of mistake in year 6.

Officials threw a flag on that play for holding. Goff said he saw it, and dumped the play because he believed the penalty would be accepted, they'd move back 10 and then punt.

Of course it was fourth down, so Cincy declined the penalty and took possession right there.

Just a brutal moment.

Texas, this board will not apologize nor moderate for slamming on a former player so get used to it or its going to be a long week for you and others. Current players is a different story.

If this board banging on Goff bothers certain members, i would suggest just scrolling on or staying out of these threads entirely. Disagreement and debating is fine but throwing out petty insults at each other is not.

I usually don't dog pile him. I take no pleasure in pointing out his struggles. I find it depressing.

But he's not 2017-2018 Goff anymore. Maybe it's still in there somewhere, but in his current trend I don't think he's a starting QB for any team in 2022.

Maybe he turns it around somehow.

Stafford throws a interception last week that should of been thrown away. He nearly threw 3 interceptions today. It happens its the NFL.

Goff is 1 of 3 QB's to lead the Rams to the Super Bowl he doesn't require anyone to make excuses for him, his resume speaks for itself.

Stafford has yet to do anything whatsoever in meaningful games. We all hope he can but in his one big game vs Arizona he was shaky with near perfect protection and one of the best WR groups.

If Stafford can get the Rams into a Superbowl he enters the discussion.

Interior pressure + taking away Hockenson + tight coverage underneath. The Lions don't have the horses to separate down the field. Don't play soft in this game. There's no threats on that side of the ball for them. Only way Goff can consistently move it is if we back off and let him. At this point, Detroit's best WR is Khalif Raymond, a career special teamer, Amon-Ra St. Brown, a fourth round rookie, or KhaDarel Hodge, the former Ram UDFA. Stafford did the same thing 3 times last week leading to punts. It happens to every QB.

As JRRY pointed out Goff's Oline is decimated and he has no WR's. Warner went through the same wilderness experience with the Giants.

It should be another easy win for us next week.

I hope you're spot on and on paper, this is an easy win, but for some darn reason, the lions always gave the Rams a hard time. They even beat the Rams greatest show on turf in that 1999 super bowl winning season.

You have no clue what a good QB is if you're defending Goff like this. Take down your Goff poster, hes long gone and still stinking up the league. When he's out of the league in a few years or a backup QB soon you will have to face reality. As if everything you've seen the last 3 years isn't enough. Goff threw 20TDs in 2020 for the Rams and Stafford has 17TDs in 6 games so far in 2021. The talent isn't even close.

It really fascinates me that some people will keep digging that hole in the wrong direction so they don’t have to face the music that their fanaticism wasn’t well conceived.

It’s party of what’s wrong with western society today.

There was very big warning signs with Goff before 2019 but the main show was 2019 and after. Guy is a train wreck and surprisingly declined after that SB. Did he stop working? Caring? Watching as much tape and instead pounding his Model GF? Who knows such things.

If we are going to play hypotheticals here’s one for you.

If Stafford QB’d our 2018 do we win that SB?
