So did you read my post or just skim it. You got from that post I am a Brady fan? Maybe you should read it again. I guess you have never before seen any of my posts. Or maybe your trying to piss me off. Whatever man.
Well you jumped in without reading the context of the conversation to talk about Brady so there you have it.

Goff may have a hot start like Jones did last week, but his mistakes will eventually catch up to him.

Regardless I'd be touched to hear a nice appreciation cheer from the crowd at pre-game.

Still, with that horrid of a roster he gave them the lead with less than a minute left twice and their defence folded like origami.
The Lions haven't scored more than 17 points in any game since week 1. In fact the last four games they've scored a total of six points in the first half. 0 TDs.

They were in the lead at the end of the game because their D kept them in it until their offense could score a TD or two. It's just asking too much for bad teams "score 17, hold them to under 17".

Outside their TE, there's nothing to like about their offense.

I think that if Stafford couldn't win in Detroit, Goff is only going to do much worse! It reminds me of Goff playing in Fisher's
pitiful offense. No help at all, and Goff has proven that he is not the QB to be able to win on his own.

That said, if I was Goff I would do what ever I could to get the hell out of there!

I was just seriously considering him doing that. But if he plays even more badly he gets the negative rep. I'm thinking if they do ship him out in 2022 he'd be pretty happy to start off as backup for a winning team somewhere... or at least a team that is not the Lions. But knowing how Goff is he wants to start for sure, though I didn't think anyone wanted Bradford after the Rams either.

There is a talent mismatch on paper but we all know the Rams need be sharp on Sunday and not let up and not wear those God-awful, hideous fucking blueberries, which will surely cause them to lose, even if they have a double digit lead in the second half.

FIFY.

Radio Host Has Bold Prediction: JUL 15, 2021

Bill "Huge" Simonson, a 27-year veteran of sports radio, had the ultimate bold take regarding Detroit's new signal-caller this week.

"Goff will win more games in Detroit this year than Stafford will with the Rams."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yesterday he posted this poll: Will the Lions go 0-17 this year?

LOL
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Goff-Stafford arguments, so far at least, are nothing compared to the Warner-Bulger verbal fistfights that occurred daily on the RamsTalk forum. Now those were the days. :laugh4:

Ooof... I remember those... that place made Thunder Dome look like a Montessori...

Hard to believe he has numbers like that with the all star WR crew he has to throw to
Kalif Raymond, UDFA D1aa player, cut 6 times before getting signed in Detroit
Trinity Benson, UDFA D2 player, cut twice before getting shot in Detroit
Khaderel Hodge, UDFA D1aa player, cut twice before getting shot in Detroit
Tom Kennedy, UDFA D1aa player, been on practice squad for 2 years
And the "Stud" of the staff, 5th rounder from USC who barely scratched 1k yards and was the 2nd/3rd best WR on lousy Trojan teams.

Egads, that's enough to make one pine for the glory days of Brian Quick, Kenny Britt, and Tavon Austin.

Yeah and that KC game tbh was one of the finest games I've ever witnessed by a QB. That was an insane game by him and probably pre-girlfriend. :laugh4:

Yep. It's almost like he dropped all of his dimes in that one game... Dude was MONEY in that game... and the QB who had 2 strip sacks wasn't Goff.

If that game is Goff's ceiling, there's a reason folks get frustrated with him... because that game was outrageous. Unfortunately, it seems like an outlier, a data point that needs to be thrown out when considering the entire data set to establish trends and things like ceilings and floors.

Also, if the dude steps back after this year with $100M in NFL earnings and a very hot fiancee, then more power to him. But if he really wants to make it in this league, he's gonna have to go harder. Or, he could maybe be the next Sam Bradford...

I could definitely see that happening...

he should be throwing for 5000 yards and 50+ tds with that much talent available to him.

having said that the video of that 4th down play showed receivers open to his right and he didn't even look their way. he has to help himself out as well. he needs to pry himself away from her heart shaped box and make himself better for his team.

Gotta disagree. Best game I saw from Jared was the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4 of 2018. He went 26 of 33 for 465 yards, 5 TDs, and 0 picks. Dude could not miss that day.

though I didn't think anyone wanted Bradford after the Rams either.

he was the starter for the eagles and then the vikings after he left the rams. and they both paid him a pretty penny as well.

unfortunately his knee got the better of him. he looked fantastic for the vikings in his first game of the second season there but his knee gave way and that was it.

that game was unbelievable. every ball he threw in the game landed a foot in front of the receivers chest. that game followed by the chiefs game had me thinking the rams had found their next true franchise qb.

alas, sexy swimsuit model. and good luck to him but it was gonna catch up to him eventually.

There is no shipping Goff off in 2022. And that's the painful reality Lions fans are understanding now. Hes due $35M next year, and if they cut or trade him I think the dead cap is like $28M or something like that. Its not possible to move off Goff if you're Detroit until AFTER 2022. So they have 11 games this year +17 next year minimum.

That's why the trade was so big for us. Many thought (myself included) there was nooooo way to cut Goff or trade him. Too much dead $ if cut, and who would take on that salary after his play in 2019 & 2020. Well... It cost us two 1st rounders and a 3rd. I still can't believe we got it done but man am I glad.

The other thing regarding him going to a new team is, McVay is so damn respected around the league. I bet if you did an anonymous poll, he would be a top 5 voted offensive mind guaranteed. Like 100% guaranteed. So the fact that McVay shipped him off really says something. If he has 4 consecutive bad years 2019-2022 you really think another team will pay him to be a starter? I really doubt it.

if anything he had too much faith in kurt. he played kurt against the eagles with a broken throwing hand over a healthy bulger. that's how much faith he had in him. ill founded faith in that situation.

then after the game kurt's wife had to blab that martz didn't send kurt to get an x-ray on his hand. and that set martz off. he only let kurt start again the next season so he could torture him against the ferocious giants pass rush. it was sickening how he left him out there to get smashed down after down while he kept calling long developing plays non stop. after that blood bath kurt never started for the rams again and martz didn't release him the following season until every team was set at qb. he was such a petty man.

.

Martz sending Warner out in that 2nd half after what was CLEARLY a big concussion was the epitome of criminal.

that Warner had balls of steel and threw for 300 yards, 3 TDs and nearly won the game only shows why Warner is in the HoF and Martz can't get a job with a D3 school.

Short of Bill Callahan quitting on the Raiders during their Super Bowl run, Martz's treatment of Warner was maybe the grossest example of terrible coaching I've ever witnessed.
