I don't generally feel bad for famous athletes that have made > $100,000,000. I probably deal with worse at work than Jared does and I don't make anywhere near that. LOL

I get what you are saying, but it's also all relative. I know Goff's a competitor and doesn't like to lose, as most of those guys are, irrespective of paycheck. Now he's in a shitty situation, one that Stafford didn't like being in either. Matt was making plenty of money in Detroit, but the losing wore on him enough that he asked for the trade that landed him here. While I can't say I wouldn't wish that situation on my worst enemy (I am small and petty like that), I damn sure wouldn't have wished it on Goff, who did far more good than bad for this franchise, even if he doesn't have the same ability that Stafford has.

I've seen quite a lot of the Lions this year(Sunday ticket) and to my eye, Goff's QB play doesn't look any worse or better than it did here the last couple years. Obviously the team results are worse because it's a bad team, but my point is he is who he is. Average and turnover prone.

Goff is a bottom five passer versus zone defenses. That gives a strategy right there. Flood the zone. Jared has trouble picking targets when he doesn’t see them wide open.

(Stafford is top five versus both zone and man. )

Just saying Goff didn't put in as much work as Wolford which I think a QB needs to do to be a top tier QB.
That's total nonsense.
Wolford put in more work? That's a joke.
He did exactly what a scrub needs to do in order to make the team.
Again, there's enough to criticize in Goff's game and enough justification in watching Stafford play that resorting to the grade school internet nonsense is just lame
McVay himself lauded Goff's work ethic. I'll take his word for it

I know the Detroit media has been on Goff's ass this week because of bad play. But man these numbers are bleak. Look at that Avg. Depth of Target. Same shit that bugged me his last two years in LA. The guy just does not want to throw the ball down the field anymore.

Those numbers are about what I would expect from a middling QB placed onto that awful Detroit roster, to be honest. Especially with their injuries at WR. The numbers look bad, but Detroit is in darn ugly shape. I don't think those numbers reflect overly poorly on Goff so much as they just do nothing to help him, either. Same old story, different chapter.

Rams defense is moving up.

The Lions rank 25th. You can run on them, too.

I highlighted the Chargers to show Staley’s D has dropped in recent weeks. They are dead last allowing 162 yards rushing a game. Ouch.

Maybe you should pay attention to the conversation? Stafford is not without blame in his playoff losses. 2 INT in a 4th Q when trailing by 10 isnt a good look.
But as I've said all along, I'm glad he got the poor post season play out of his system because he is going to kick major ass this upcoming post season
I am just trying to point out that the best ever has a worse game in the playoffs but wins. Meaning better team better results.

Hard to believe he has numbers like that with the all star WR crew he has to throw to
Kalif Raymond, UDFA D1aa player, cut 6 times before getting signed in Detroit
Trinity Benson, UDFA D2 player, cut twice before getting shot in Detroit
Khaderel Hodge, UDFA D1aa player, cut twice before getting shot in Detroit
Tom Kennedy, UDFA D1aa player, been on practice squad for 2 years
And the "Stud" of the staff, 5th rounder from USC who barely scratched 1k yards and was the 2nd/3rd best WR on lousy Trojan teams.

That was actually reported last year. Wolford was in first and out last.

It's apparent that the Lions first year scrappy head coach (Dan Campbell) has publicly attempted to lite a fire under Jarred Goff's ass to step up his game Sunday at Los Angeles.

It was a good move by Campbell imo.

He knows the drama behind the Rams/Lions QB trade this past offseason.

Campbell knows his team is capable of pulling off an upset as they've shown a couple times this season.

This game was circled by both organizations prior to the season.

There is a talent mismatch on paper but we all know the Rams need be sharp on Sunday and not let up, even if they have a double digit lead in the second half.

Find a way to win Sunday and don't get cocky being up by double digits or panic if the game is a one score contest in the 4th quarter.

Getting to 6-1 is the goal. The Goff/Stafford chatter obviously sells tickets and promotes the matchup but the final result is all the matters for the Rams.

Who are the Ref's, ... may be the biggest factor.

I don't know...Campbell must not watched the failed attempt by Sean McVay to light a fire under Jared.. The Lions are a better team than the Giants, but I'm pretty sure we win and cover 15.5 point spread.

Lions are a rubbish team, if they can build up and put something around Jared he'd deliver them some wins, but they got jack shit around him now, I feel bad for the guy.

Still, with that horrid of a roster he gave them the lead with less than a minute left twice and their defence folded like origami. I expect our offence to eat them alive like it's practice. I understand any given Sunday, but jaysus they're just not up to par at this point. There's no reason we shouldn't be able to blow them out, if we don't I'll be rather disappointed.

I'm usually pretty eh about making predictions regarding a potential blowout, but there is a wide talent gap here.

Not doubting it, that's what a scrub has to do in order to impress the coach. Cut the grass, put out the garbage if he has to. He aint outworking anyone though, that's just silly talk.
