Considering we have Goff for at least two more years and I sure hope Goff can return to form and then improve on that...

I see no reason to rush Goff back to potentially worsen the injury such that he could miss time next season. Why? He's supposed to play playoff football with a broken thumb?

Now, don't get me wrong. If he were to start lighting it up with a broken thumb, it would harken back to the Youngblood days, but while Jared is tough, it's not his toughness that's an issue.

An injured throwing hand is nothing to take lightly. Get it healed up and ready for next season.

Hoping Jared mans up and has the game of his life. That will win not only the game, but a lot of confidence back.

Just want the best for him.

The way some of Goff’s throws have looked recently I wouldn’t be surprised if he has been having a problem and today just pushed it to another level.

I've liked Wolford all along and hoped we would see him play some this year. This is an intriguing and potentially exciting opportunity.
Week 17 with the season on the line isn't what I had in mind though.

I'm warning you all now, though.
Wolford could come in, play very well, take over the job, be exciting and even win a playoff game... but when camp begins next season, Goffs going to come back improved and win his job back. I would bet every ROD dollar to my name.
Unless Wolford wins a Superbowl on the strength his play, he will return as Goffs backup.
And I'm not worried about a QB controversy because quite frankly, it wouldn't matter who Goffs back up is. Some just want change at the most visible position because its easier to watch the QB and want a different one than it is to look at the whole picture.

I would love nothing more than after this whole year that we open 2021 with a Nick Foles replay.

I just want a few solid wins. We haven't really had one in a long while.

Honestly, that does have me intrigued. Nice touch on those deep balls and really nice mobility and pocket presence.

He's the backup for a reason. Let's be honest, Goff shredded Arizona just a few weeks ago. We're losing a lot here. But with our defense, if Wolford can avoid turnovers and use his legs to get some first downs, it might be enough for us to win it. He does have a quick release and throws short routes well. Just take what you're given, manage the game, and let the defense do its job. And special teams, no stupid turnovers.

Frankly, if Wolford can pick up some yardage with his legs, manage the game well, and not do anything stupid, we could go far with this defense if our running game picks it up. We don't need a miracle worker at QB.

I thought that's what they meant by broken (dislocated).
Otherwise, I'd think they'd say fractured or something.
Either way, it was gnarly.

At what point should he have come out ? Did he hurt it more by continuing to playing.Did it cost H Rams the game?

I truly feel for Goff.

Two tough weeks and now has to wait until next year to redeem himself. Won't be an easy off season for the man.

I hope he comes back and McVay puts a team in place that he can thrive within and all this will be forgotten. The football memory is crazy short.

GO RAMS!!!

I thought he threw about the same, with more urgency late.

Since we KNOW we can't count on straight answers or disclosure about injuries, I have wondered if Goff has been battling through some injury since mid-season. If not, the QB coach needs to go.

yeah.. i mean not to sound like a dick...

but in general i dont feel sorry for big time football players.

i lived with them in the dorm in college - endless ass, beer, favors and just about everything.

Goff will be just fine even if he never amounts to more than what he has.

Message boards are easy to ignore man. Just set the phone down. I do feel bad for how he must be feeling knowing he sucked ass and broke his thumb, but in the end he will be better off than me even if he leaves the league right now and lives on investments.

He is paid MILLIONS and he makes the most rudimentary of mistakes..fuck his feelings. BE BETTER!

You're right, it's okay for people to feel bad for him ;)

I just don't :p

Don't get me wrong, I'm in his corner. I just wouldn't throw a pity party if I talked to him, I would be telling him it's time to improve. Shit or get off the pot man
