Remember when the Rams started hot in 2021? They lost the whole month of November? The offense was struggling even in December when we won games. Still came out on top when they needed it. We're still right there. A bad game happens. They know they can do better. They'll reset and get back on track.

They did run the ball well, but 97 yards of Panthers passing and two TD's was squarely directed at Forbes. And the biggest issue was Stafford had three TO's that potentially caused a 21 point swing. Tough to recover from that one.
I was specifically talking about the third quarter but yeah.

It was a terrible day for Forbes, who had shined the past few games. His fatal mistake was to let the WRs get behind him both times. It seemed he was "ball hawking". Let's hope it's a lesson learned!

On the Stafford fumble...wasn't it Avila that got beat?

If you're going to have a game like this it is better to have it at this point in the season, then in the playoffs. Let's face it Stafford and the Rams defense played like shit, and they lost by three points. They have been in all three games this season that they lost and probably could have won. It is hard to hear but sometimes a loss like this will get a team refocused and could be blessing in disguise. It was a hard-fought game that weather and coach's decisions played a big part in the outcome. "This was you just got punched in the mouth moment now what you going to do are you going to stand up and fight or lay there and die."

Health is important, but seeding is just as important come playoff time.

Do we really want to play in the cold / wet / snow????? I think not with a 37 year old QB.

Being a #1 seed is extremely important this playoff run.

A lot of fans would make great CBs. They have very short memories!!!!

Sometimes even if you aren't the 1 seed you wind up hosting.....see our Super Bowl Run.

That is true: but Stafford was a nimbler 33 years old.

The one week of extra rest can pay big dividends for getting players an extra week to heal (Lake and Higbee). We should be playing for the #1 seed. That should be the primary regular season goal.

I believe it was Avila and his guy blew right by him. Like the guy but he needs to work on his pass protection or he might not see a second contract from the Rams.

Tend to Disagree, went to Pass when Run was better idea especially in the end of the game.
The better idea would have have been to call a timeout before the play clock went to zero.... I hold Stafford responsible for that as he's not a young inexperienced QB.

I thought the Rams had a great combination of running and passing all game. Who could have expected Stafford to make six big mistakes in one game.

I'm still shocked.

100% correct, he cant help himself. The delay of game is inexcusable and to me was the difference. Call a fkin timeout for godsakes.
My brother and I kept screaming at the TV about the light boxes. The only criticism I have had of McVay during his tenure is that he refuses to adjust his game-plan when it is not working. Shula did the same thing in the first game against the 9ers and yesterday. His defensive game plan was not working and there seemed to be no adjustments.

In the past McVay would just frustrate me to no end. But this season his play calling has been pretty spot on. We had almost 400 yards of offense in shitty weather.

The defense did the best it could losing one of their best guys (Lake) and Forbes having one of his typical below average games..... And Landman taking a vacation day.... I think he was still celebrating his contract extension

McVay's game plan wasn't working? The O scored 28 points. The running was working because they could pass. 28 passing attempts. 21 rushing attempts. They never abandoned the Run.
