How many freaking holds on the Rams dline did the refs let go. Every time a rb changed direction there was a clear and obvious hold on a d lineman.

Also, once Stafford got his record he turned into a pumpkin. 6 points lost for the Rams and 7 points gifted for the Panthers. 13 point turnaround.

As far as looking past Carolina or not being prepared.
I think having SF, Seattle, and TB in 3 consecutive weeks drew a lot of attention and investment.
Excellent point. Three tough essential games in a row.
These guys aren’t robots.

Can’t win every game, and I have more important fish to fry; currently in the hospital with a possible UTI. I’m just hoping I don’t stay too long.

Update: Out of the hospital, but I have a UTI that they're hoping a single antibiotic can crush. We'll see. I just drained after yesterday, and I hope today gets better.

Most likely. I don't see the Bears winning out. In fact, I think the Packers are gonna win that division.

I was thinking at some point a loss wouldn't be the worst thing. If they went 15-2 that woulda given them a 12 game win streak, It would take a 15 game win streak to win the Superbowl. That is a hard thing to do. Now they can reset. And focus game to game. Being in a tight race might be better than winning it easily.
1) the bears might not win out, but they are an ascending team who look very good right now. Caleb is now getting real quality coaching and is looking the part. He’s physically dynamic and has a hell of an arm. This kid is going to be a very good QB. I would not be surprised if they get a split with the packers and win that division.
2) I too found myself thinking about a potential #1 seeding. Why not? The Rams WERE sitting in that position going into the panthers game. I did, however, have concerns about resting players in week 18 and then having a bye before getting back to real football—against a team who had already won a playoff game.

I don’t have to concern myself with that anymore.

Just a some thoughts. Every team have bad weeks.
It's why teams don't go undefeated. I think it has happened
twice in NFL history. Just part of game. Bad weeks will happen.

2nd thought Are we struggling to adapt to Quentin Lake's absence.
Lake was a huge chess piece. Our defense may take time to adjust or
maybe our DC will have to adapt system a little scheme adjustment.
Neither will happen in one weeks time

Hard me to get upset losing a game after 6 game winning streak.
Especially after they had to stay on east coast after Ravens and
then to London during that winning streak

24hrs contemplating loss and then completely forgotten
and all focus on Cardinals
The absence of Lake was clearly an issue. Wallace showed very little interest in sticking his nose in on run plays. After being abused on outside plays, Forbes appeared to have lost his zeal for tackling as well.

Ford not being 100% hurt the Rams in the middle. Too many runs went further than usual because there was no big body pushing the OL backwards.

Those two players being healthy come playoff time is far more important than seeding. We witnessed that on Sunday.

Not worried about yesterdays loss, what worried me a t the time was McVay looked like he was in panic mode on the sideline, and i knew right then we were going ro lose this game. We were running it down the Panthers throat at will, why not just continue that? The Panthers did with less success and still won the game. We do not have those costly turnovers if we just ran it more. It blows my mind how stubborn McVay can be and to still have this blindspot after 10 yrs of coaching? It's like watching a toddler trying to stick a square peg in a round hole.

And yet, until Stafford got sacked and fumbled the ball away I thought the Rams were going to drive down the field and win the game. Funny how that works.

My point is it more than likely would not have come to that if they had stuck with what was working. Also, Puka made an INSANE catch to move the sticks and prevented another possible interception. While he made that insane catch, I dont take those for granted and imo that's a moment where we should have realized we just got bailed out and should keep it close. Not to mention it didnt make any sense to score so fast when we had over 6 minutes to play. Burn some clock bc you know our D is not going to stop the Panthers. Give the Panthers as little time as possible with their possession.

Wasn’t sure how The Rams were going to react after Carolina went up on The Rams.

The way they came back was impressive. The offense played real well. There were a few issues on defense. One being how E.Forbes had a let down after he had been playing SO well.
Noticed right away Ahkello was following Shula around. He actually was in on one of the plays Forbes got beat on. I could go on about how I feel about a couple players & the defense? It’s not the time, but how the players react next week. IMO there should be a couple changes??
—Who knows IMO they have the personnel to win it all, there are a few tweaks I’d like to see.
— first I have to Eat Crow.Telling everyone how good Forbes, especially Oldschool.
Like I said though it’s like a relief pitcher sometimes when it comes to CB’s.Short memory & the next battle might be the Truth ?

Typical and I called it. Rams do what they always with bad teams. You can tell the defense was listening to the hype about themselves.

Rams will always be this team no matter what players and no matter what coach.
Yes, just when you think they are legit they pull this kind of stunt. Make the other team look unbeatable and no adjustments when Staff is off. Could have just run the ball until they stopped it but we had to pass, pass, pass, pass... you get the idea.

Verse looked a little lazy out there at times. That Qb run where he didn't attempt to keep contain was really a poor effort. Snead is going to have to decide who gets a 2nd contract soon on the defensive front. Byron Young is looking like the best of the group but is also the oldest. Hoping this group turns it on for the playoff push. Hoping.

I think the play calling was fine. The turnovers will kill you. Off the helmet, oh well. The pick six was bad. Stafford in nov 2021. Strip sack a good play by them. Neededmore from the D. Just cant get beat by the run. It set up everything they did on O. Funny how a depleated SF D shuts that Down but our elite D cant.
I think we could agree sf does not have a bad defense, seemingly depleted is not hurting them at all and they can beat anybody. We better watch out. Go, rams!

If the regular season ended after this weekend, knowing everything we know after todays loss -
- no fan-goggles on, just cold hard reality, what team would you pick for the playoffs?
It doesn't matter, we can lose to any of them. Rams have bad play tendencies and good team wins. Rams can do that to any team, so bring on whoever. They can beat them and they can lose also. Depends on what ram team shows up. Makes for fingernail bitting goodness.

Still a long way to go. Bears helped us out on Friday. They still have 2 games vs the Packers and one against the Lions. We need to win out to get that #1 seed. The Bears will lose a game or maybe more.
Rams have at least 1 more loss coming up may be 2. As long as we get in we have a chance. No more running the table, 1st seed, or mvp talk, let Forbes grow as he still suspect, no more Shula is going to be a head coach next year. That's all bs. Let's win the next game.

Wow, talk bout having zero faith. You can ride that train alone. The Rams have barely lost games this year so I have faith they can still run the table. Not having so many turnovers should be the focus next go around. Sure they played a shit game, it happens, but keep that sappy talk over there on your side. I do agree we need to win the next game. It's the NFL, one game at a time.
