If we pull this off, it will be the greatest two year turnaround I've ever seen from a personnel and scheme standpoint.

Please pull oof another miracle Les!! I have some whisky I'd love to drink tonight.

My 2cents...How would McVay keep OBJ happy with his spread the ball around mentality?

The strange reason is that Mara, the owner, has had enough of OBJ. The team cratered last year, in the process showed bad attitudes, now they are trying to start over and rebuild with a team which shows a better approach. OBJ wasn't the main problem last year but he's the poster boy for team immaturity. I think Mara doesn't want to write a huge check for him, is not amused by his video or holdout threat, and wants him gone.
exactly why i believe Kroneke is a great owner, lets his employees do their jobs

Who cares if he did Coke? Geez....Coke, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper....they're all the same!

By having more offensive plays to spread. Unlike Suh though, I never liked OBJ. Put him in horns and that no doubt changes. I can only imagine the possibilities. Who the hell do you cover?

Not only that but he was in that meeting at Nobu and was a big part of the conversation and what Suh liked about coming to the Rams. Apparently, Stan started asking his guys questions that Suh's agent would be asking and also, Suh is very intrigued by Kroenke's business background. If I remember right, Suh had a GPA near 4.0 coming out of Grant HS and then graduated from Nebraska with an engineering degree in construction management. You think he wants to learn something from the Rams owner?

Donald didn't threaten to hold out he actually did hold out all camp should he be gone too? Like it or not holding out is the smart move for players in their situation. Donald held out all camp worked hard on his own and won DPOY. OBJ didn't hold out gets hurt in the preseason and suffers further injury in the regular season. Giants cratering has more to do with OBJ being out with injury not his attitude. OBJ saved Eli's career. Eli is average when OBJ is on the field and well below average when he is off the field. Eli Apple, DRC, Jenkins, Landon Collins flaming the Eli Apple fire all had more to do with the discord and losses than OBJ who was hurt all year and not even present

I dont think OBJ is immature. He is a milenial WR. He's Marcus Peters with a bigger brand. Both are incredibly passionate about winning and that comes out the wrong way at times. The most trouble you can either go into off the field the OBJ video where people can only speculate. What I like about the Rams organization as a whole they dont impose that old school this how we did it my day mentality on their players. Credit Fisher because this started with him. He and Snead realized this millennial generation learns differently so they had shorter meetings followed by on the field application in practice. They adapt to this generation instead of imposing old school standards. Thats why IMO organizationally the Rams are a great fit for OBJ.

Didn't mean to or in fact suggest OBJ was the issue with NY last year, they had lots of issues starting with the GM and coach, and rolling down through the D to the O line etc. etc. At some point (the Rams game?) they seemed to give up. He has a right to state that he won't play without a new contract, and after a major injury can't blame him. I think he's a great competitor and would love to see him on the Rams. However, I think it is obvious that Mara has lost patience with him. That's just what's happening and what gives us a chance at him.

Similar I think to Peters in KC-- if the owner doesn't want a guy, and doesn't want to spend megabucks to give him a new contract, right or wrong, he's likely going to be traded.

I feel like this thread should be a poll, given the polarity of OBJ.
