I wonder if he'd play in LA, in THAT offense, in his contract year? I understand why he'd want the pay increase NOW in NY. But with the Rams??

I just don’t see how they can pay Donald, goff, Gurley, peters, and obj and still field starter level players at all the other positions. Not to mention McVay is more than capable of having an extremely productive offense without a superstar wr. I just don’t see this happening

... when it comes to ass hats and douchebags, you have to maintain careful control or they will infest a workplace and breed like rats..
Same with hipsters. You can have one or two around, tops. Three or more and they will build a micro brewery or a gastro pub and then you will be surrounded by an army of Subaru driving Skinnyjean Lumberjack looking dudes who used to bleach their hair and blast The Real Slim Shady from their lowered twotone honda civic while cruising outside the foodcourt at the mall...

:ROFLMAO:I'd consider adding this as my tagline, but it's a bit long. :D

Would be nice if compensatory picks are able to be on the 2nd round. I'm open to signing Beckham as long as there are no long-term repercussions on Donald, Goff and maybe Gurley's deals.

This thread is starting to pick up some steam!

My 2cents...How would McVay keep OBJ happy with his spread the ball around mentality?

By winning! Winning fixes a lot of bad attitudes.

I didn’t think they could do this much.

I think they have a plan and backup plans B-Z

If they get OBJ, I think it’s intentional and with purpose and they have a plan going forward.

Never enjoyed an off-season more.

This Rams off-season is straight up insane! And I mean that as a compliment.

The only way it happens is if the players get together and decide that they are better off leaving a little bit on the table for their brothers. I dont care for Brady, for obvious reasons, but he does give the pats a discount so they can reload and stay competitive. This is what the Rams need to do if they want to become a dynasty and the model for others to copy.

My random thoughts:

Wade will control Talib and Suh, everyone respects him.

McVay can make a change in ODB, if not it was worth a shot.

As to ODB, could you possibly get this kind of impact at #23?

I felt with Suh we'd be a 3 loss team. With ODB I can see 15 - 1, the 1 being the scrub week 17 game.

After watching some WR draft vids, I think there's depth in the draft enough to replace Sammy with a WR that fits our offense better than OBJ does. OBJ is a superstar, and will want superstar money, and superstar attention from the QB. Our offense just spreads the ball out too much, which keeps DD's guessing, but it makes guys like Sammy and OBJ unhappy cuz they are no longer the top dogs game-to-game. In the Ram's O, each game has the potential to have a different star receiver, whether it's Woods, Kupp, (Watkins), a TE, or even Gurley. Guys like Sammy & OBJ want to be in the E$PN highlights week in & week out.
I think getting OBJ would be a mistake & cause serious cap issues, but in McSnead we trust. It's possible they're looking for trade partners for a high cap-hit guy like Barron or Kayvon to make room for OBJ & AD99's monster contracts. It would be downright dumb to trade Brockers. Even so, how will they get contracts for Goff / Gurley / future LOT after AW retires??

If it's that big a need, there's got to be a top 15 WR that will fall, like Ridley or Sutton. There's great trade-down value too for guys who will be better fits in our system. I think the price will just be too high in terms of draft capital & making our team into a circus. We have a great team chemistry right now, we really don't need a circus clown even if he makes circus catches.
