We're 6 deep at WR. Tutu can take a hit. Whittington can run (and catch). Really hope both get.more targets going forward.

Our 2's put up 25 on their 1's. That's more than our 1's have scored in any of the previous 3 games. Why? Playcalling?

I feel bad for Corum but tbh I’d rather give #2 snaps to Rivers. He’s had spurts of being productive and I prefer his exp over Corum

Can’t bitch about our performance considering we played mostly seconds. One thing that caught my attention was how with Lafluer calling the game and Jimmy playing, it sure seemed that when we got to the line there was a lot more time on the play clock compared to normal. Kinda curious? Was it simpler play calling because of a shortened playbook? Or something else?

Amazing how Noteboom can play LT, but not RT. Amazing!
I said that last week. He normally looks solid at LT. It just could be that he is more comfortable on that side and the footwork required vs the right side.

Totally agree. We seem more organized? Would that be a way to put it?

If you're Seattle, does a hard fought 5 point win against backups on offense make you feel good going into the offseason? I know I wouldn't be happy if the shoe were on the other foot.

They won 10 games with a rookie Head Coach and finished 2nd in the division. I’m sure their fans feel they exceeded expectations.

Karty officially sold me tonight! A kicker being confident, and the team and coaching staff trusting him, is invaluable come the playoffs.

Jordan Whittington is a dog. I said it earlier today before the game in this post - he needs more reps, he looks great every time he gets the ball, and I truly feel he is our next steal of a WR in the Kupp-Puka mold. Versatile. Physical. Team-first. Does it all. I think next year he and Kupp could both serve as strong co-WR2s, if the team is willing to allocate reps accordingly.

Plus they are in Washington State, a veritable breeding ground for participation trophies and victimization. So they can pin that shit to their chests and wail in the streets.

You and I could have played LT today for the Rams with all those screens.
I hope McVay took note of the fact that not only did we use screens to fend off the pass rush, we used back to back screens and I think 3 out of 4 plays and that really slowed the pass rushers down.

Hell I would like the rams to at least start the game in hurry up to get their blood pumping early. They really do take to long to snap the ball on every play though.

I think this game was fun to watch. I wanted the rams to get out of the 3 seed so for me it was great. The back ups gave Seattle a very competitive game and we get a beat up Vikings at home.

Whittington and Tyler Johnson are great depth. I would like to see more of Whittington with the starters. He’s very good at screens.
He would do well with that same screen pass we see thrown to Puka all the time. Wonder if he isn't a great route runner or if he is just stuck behind Coop, Puka, DR, Tutu. Seems like he should be edging his way into a bigger role the way he played today.

We've already seen him play meaningful snaps against the packers when all the wrs were injured. He looked great. In fact, when he went off injured at the end of the game the offense ground to a complete halt.

He will be a fine nfl wr.

The problem is Stafford is shitty at throwing screens. I don't think running them back to back to back would end well with 9 behind center. :laugh3:

We are better off protecting his ass and letting him stretch the field.

Playcalling and QB.

LaFleur got so many more players involved with jet sweeps and fly sweeps.

And this may be blasphemy but it felt like Jimmy G ran the offense better than 9 has lately. He was pressured all day but went to screens and got every WR, TE, and RB involved.
