Jackson was a pleasant surprise.

Still needs to add some strength, but he's very good in pass protection and IMO, that is priority one for a LT, they are tough to find and based on what I've seen I believe I would keep him.

Any of these above Ram players end up on the IR before the cuts that would affect all these MR53 projections? DL Robinson, OLB Okoronkwo, OLB Lewis?

Yeah, don't know what to do with Evans, maybe he's a better tackle then guard, but pass protection is always an issue and A.J. Jackson played well in pass protection at LT.
Release him! He is an open dam break waiting to happen in known passing situations. DC's just overload that side & Evans is guaranteed to make the wrong decision on who to block.

Coach Carberry had Tremayne Anchrum playing OG in the Raiders game when he was injured (check the video). Thus well over a week before the injury, Carberry put the Anchrum to inside plan in effect. It appeared the plan was to play Anchrum @ OG in the 2nd half until the injury took place, that's when OG/OC Jordan Meredith went in & played balls to the walls:fistbump:. What does that tell us?

Rookie LT Alaric Jackson was a great find by Snead as a UDFA. You do not let a player like Jackson who has shown such promise depart your team when your starting LT is retiring & your backup is entering FA'cy as a UFA!

I would keep Lewis, Hoecht, Hughes, drop Deayon, Koski,Copeland.

Would also consider dropping Howard and go with just 3 ILBs, and keeping Triston Jackson as a 6th WR.

Shelton is staying I’m sure.
Evans is a tricky one for me.
He has so much potential as a run blocker and is generally bad as a pass blocker. I was really hoping he would take the next step this offseason. He did play better vs Denver including a really nice play that allowed a nice little screen pass early on.
But....hard to know.

I think Evans just got squeezed off the roster. Draft status does matter. But once you're outclassed by other guys and the team has to keep 10 in order to not admit they missed on the pick... Well they probably missed on the pick.

Actually even if they keep 10 Evans might be cut. He looks to be out of time, barring the Rams simply refusing to admit they were wrong about him.

Meredith is going to be interesting. Do they cut the C/OG who has looked good in preseason to make room for him? There is no way they cut Jackson for him.

Could well be.
He has starting experience and the dreaded P word (potential).
I don’t think he was outshined by any of the other 4th quarter players....but also didn’t distinguish himself.
There are several spots at the back of the roster (OL, LB, WR, CB) where names are interchangeable.

I've read wildly different opinions on Alaric Jackson. I keep watching just him and honestly can't tell if he's worth keeping on the 53.

If I were making the cuts here's my 53:

OFFENSE (24)

QB: Stafford, Wolford, Perkins.
RB: Henderson, Michel (will be RB1 once he learns offense), Funk
WR: Kupp, Woody, Jefferson, DJax, Tutu
TE: Higbee, Harris, Mundt
OL: Whit, Edwards, Corbs, Allen, Hav, Boom, Anchrum, Jackson, Shelton, Meredith

Basically I'm keeping Meredith and Perkins over guys like X Jones and Hopkins.

DEFENSE (26)

DL: AD, SJD, Gaines, B Brown, E Brown, Robinson, Banks
OLB: Floyd, Hollins, Garrett, Oko, Lawler
ILB: Young, Reeder, Jones, Kiser
CB: Ramsey, Williams, Rochell, Long
Safety: Fuller, Rapp, Scott, Hughes, Reed, Warner

ILB felt too weak with 3. I don't like Howard so Kiser is the last roster spot for me on that side of the ball. Burgess I would cut. He's not smooth and instinctive in coverage and I prefer Warner's box play over him. Rams will never do this, just how I would do it.

SPECIALISTS (3)
P: Bojo
K: Gay
Snapper: Orzech

Bigger need presently for keeping interior OC/RG/LG Meredith but a super big need next season for keeping LT Jackson too. I say keep them both!

What would be the #1 goal for this Ram team after all the huge team's assets & investments that have gone into getting QB Stafford in LA to take this team to the SB? Better be smart protect that investment as best you can & let the other units take what's left.

Chould be the Rams 2022 OL

LT-Noteboom/ Jackson
LG-Edwards/
OC-Allen/ Shelton
RG-Anchrum/Meredith
RT-Havenstein/Pircher

I would keep Lawler over Lewis.
Lewis is still at the point he can’t practice on the team schedule.
Lawler looked more explosive.
Go ahead & place Robinson, Lewis & Okoronkwo on the IR. Gives Rams 3 additional weeks to grade & learn what they have in the rookies. Snead can bring back any of those IR's in 3 weeks.

I’m probably wrong, but didn’t the NFL carry over the PS rule to 2021 that allows you to protect (4 I think) guys from being selected by other teams? If so, we have that four extra spot of guys that we won’t “lose” that don’t make the 53. But maybe I misunderstand the PS/roster rules
