Some of these rookies will get playing time.Anchrum,Brewer, & Coleman will be battling for maybe only 1 spot ?

I think all of them make the team, with Shelton beating out Brian Allen for the backup Center behind Austin Corbett, but Allen has beefed up in the offseason, so I expect the former Spartan to not go softly.

Agreed. Something tells me Allen won’t give up without a fight for an OC roster spot. May the best (backup) man win!!

Whit/Note
Evans/Anchrum
Corbett/Allen or Shelton
Edwards/Brewer
Hav/Jackson

looks like a solid 10 man OL.

I’m actually not worried about The Rams offensive line.IMO it works itself out. I do have some big questions though.

1. Noteboom is the Biggest question, but also the Best answer.
Will see what happens with him & The Rams ? I do think he gets that extension at the end of training camp. That seems to be the norm with Devaney?
2. Who will be the backup center ? How good is Austin Corbett & will he get a deal as well as Noteboom ?

3.I guess the Biggest question in 2021 as I believe this is in response to The Rams roster is ?? How many OL players make the 53.

Then add a new OL coach ??

Plus this 53 day roster ? Will or has it changed?

My question is about the QB rule ? 53 man roster & QB ? I’m a Fan of player development & think rosters need to expand. Maybe not though.53 plus on game day you can have an extra player if it is a QB only.

The 53 & regular 48 ? Is a solid traditional type of number.

I like & hope the practice squads stay expanded like 2020 !!! That makes such a huge difference & great for the Players.

The NFLPA should look out for the development of players.Training camps are AWESOME.I LOVE the Preseason.I’m also a Fan of this NEW 17 games season.

As a Rams Fan for however long.My hope & prediction is that this last RB class of 2020 might have a chance at the ALL-TIME record.

Going to make a Prediction Cam Akers from Florida State will be the All-Time leading rusher in NFL History?

That mainly depends on Sean Mcvay & 17 game schedule.2021
Cam Akers is only 22 he is at 625.

@Memphis Ram good list, but Shelton and Brewer have shown me nothing to make the team. Xavier Jones appeared fine last night and should make the team. Also, no Allen?

I agree we need a third down back who can block if needed.

The 53 is rounding out nicely for sure. I'll go with my next 5 cuts. Time for the Duck to fly home he's first cut. Calais needs surgery and goes to the IR. Daka, Olumba and we trade Kenny Young? Doubt we trade Young haven't seen any ILB injuries so I'll throw a wild Haydel out the door.

I edited an replaced Shelton with Allen. Brewer? Looks like I can drop him or the returner as my math is off on the OLineman. Won't bother with another edit though.

I though Jones was fine last night, too. Maybe I'm just overreacting to the post game comments I heard from McVay on how Funk had separated himself from Jones.

Unless they plan to play Wolford in the final game, Duck has to make it to the final cut just to get through that final preseason game.

Next five cuts: Calais (IR), Ford, Brewer, Olumba, and Markway.

Shelton, Rozeboom, McGhee, Holba, Hodges, Haydel, Gervase, and Hall may be considered too.

Perkins can again play the whole game I don't see Duck anymore necessary than another 4th stringer. I thought what you did about the backup kicker and McVay may have learned his lesson because that backup kicker should have been punting last night not Gay.

Oops. Will edit.
I thought maybe you had an inside take on Meredith moving to RG and Corbett back to Center.

An emerging Meredith would be a great option to throw into the mix. I saw that PFF gave him a rating over 90 after the first game. Could he possibly be that good?

99.999999% chance that X Jones make the roster. 67.7% Funk makes the roster.

I think there's a chance they start the season with only 3 RBs. We'll see. Right now, I see Xavier as the definite #2.
I don't believe Meredith will be on the 53 yet.. and think he does make it to PS. Shelton would seem to be the backup C. I do wonder if they may carry only 8 on the active roster and try to stash Shelton and Meredith on the PS.

I think there's a chance they carry only 5 WRs because of Jacob Harris. He may be listed as a TE, but function's much more as a WR.

That would make my for TEs Harris, Higbee, Mundt and Hopkins.

I wonder if there's a chance they roll with 4 corners, because I think Burgess and Scott have CB capability, especially in dime packages.

My guess is we'll have 3 RBs to start the season. The guys we already have. Prob pick up two guys, maybe three to PS who played in outside zone schemes (SF, GB, TN, ATL, NYJ). If it's a guy they absolutely feel like they got a steal with, they'll put him on 53 and go with 4 (there's a possibility that one of the teams I mentioned goes with 3 to start the season too and we get one of their cuts).

Got to have someone that can finish that last preseason game in case Perkins gets hurt.

It would be a great option, but I have no inside take. I just had to replace Evans somehow.
