Most of the singers are extremely talented, but most are tweaking the vocals to fit the genre. Check out the choruses by HoJo; he switches between growling and crooning:

Killswitch Engage is on the very edge of what I can tolerate and mostly because he does do some more stereotypical singing. Their cover of Holy Diver is pretty good. Five Finger Death Punch is another I like that's on the far end of tolerable. The songs I like are more hard rock than metal, but that's because I don't do those vocals.
EDIT: that song in particular (now that I've listened to it) is just a touch too screamy for me, but I wouldn't kick it off my playlist of it got recommended. I use Amazon Music, which I was recently told was "so lame" and "such an old person thing to use" (I'm 34, the other guy is 33) so I basically let it pick my playlist and only give it a thumbs down if I really never want to hear that stupid song again.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, I enjoy Babymetal. The singing is... Less than optimal but I can push through it.
