so you think trading Stafford for Goff?
Well this would depress the fuck out of me. All though getting the #3 pick I'm all for I am not all for Rodgers. IF we traded Stafford I'd rather rent Jimmy G, Cousins, Fields, Darnold, whoever for one year before I'd ever offer money to Rodgers to come and be a distraction.

I looked in here and wondered how I went from posting yesterday on page 28 to be 32 pages behind lolSorry but these two threads have pretty much become one. Merged with the McVay wants clarity thread.
Its that crazy rumor time of yearStafford is not going anywhere, and I think we all know it just stop all the drama and get the shit done already.
There's just no way the Rams should be trading away Stafford.Rogers would be better than guys like Darnold and Cousins. But if they really think they are Superbowl ready Stafford is the best chance. And he's already in the building.
If it came to an impasse and the only alternative was to trade Stafford, then this scenario makes sense.Colin Cowherd is "proposing" that Rams "could" trade MS to the NYG for the 3rd overall pick, then move down to stockpile picks to get a franchise QB in 2026. Colin says Rams then would want a "bridge" QB in 2025.... possibly Aaron Rodgers.
I usually like Colin's takes, but I think he's full of shit on this one. I say MS is a lock to stay, both sides really want to make it work.
When teams played man last year against the Rams just about every offensive metric too a nose dive. One of the ways to beat man is to have a running QB. In lieu of that, we need answers there. A size and/or speed receiver. A TE who can split out wide. A receiving threat at RB (not a guy who can just catch, you need a guy who can run routes).I am super conflicted. The thought of McVay with a mobile QB sounds really exciting. It is how the NFL is built these days.
We were healthy down the stretch, but squeaked 3 wins in December scoring 12, 19, 13. That’s with most everyone healthy and THAT’S not good enough.
I understand why the Rams are poking at this.

Bingo! In weeks 13-17 they were fully healthy and won 5 in row. However, in 4 of those wins, the offense averaged 16.25 points per game.
There is no way they can bring the offense back, largely as constructed, and expect to go far. Major upgrades/changes to the offense are in order.
I'm just not convinced that means you gotta trade the QB. I'd rather make some major moves and build around Stafford. It will take more than just the draft picks; they'll also need to use free agency.
The issue is, can they afford to make the moves that it will take?

If they gave us back our picks? Hell yeah!so you think trading Stafford for Goff?
Stafford had four cracked ribs. It threw his accuracy off a bit. I’m sure it affected his overall play.Bingo! In weeks 13-17 they were fully healthy and won 5 in row. However, in 4 of those wins, the offense averaged 16.25 points per game.
