I think it's safe to assume Jimmy will miss time given his history. If I was looking for an intriguing aspect to week 18 (and generally speaking I don't know that there's a lot to glean from these weeks when a team neither team has anything to play for) I think it's that LaFleur called plays and he's got a long history with Jimmy.

But yes, I think there's a scenario where the defense gets a ton of resources and this could happen. I would just say it's not likely.
Wait! Are you saying LaFleur can call a better offense than McVay?

Also, Seattle was playing to win with their starters for the majority of the game.

No but I think it affects how well Seattle could game plan.

The second line is fair.

I don't necessarily think week 18 games can be taken with a grain of salt but there are typically so many variables when a team is resting starters, allowing new play callers, etc... that I think it's hard to glean much from them as to how things will look on a regular basis.

It all depends. If we stay relatively healthy, I think we're capable of making the playoffs due to the defense. Watching our offense in Week 18 with Jimmy, I think McVay can produce at least a middle of the pack offense with Jimmy at QB, as long as our offense isn't killed by injuries.
Maybe. But if we think KW's fumbles are bad.... Jimmy G has a knack to chuck INT's & Pick 6's at the worst times. He'd have to clean that up or there's no way we sniff the playoffs.

Let's not forget that the 9ers should be healthy next year (though they may lose players to salary cap), Seattle is a good draft away from being division winners, and the Cardinals can be competitive next year with a good FA and draft.

The division most likely gets harder next year.

Stafford also can be reckless with the ball. Jimmy will turn it over a little more often, but I'm already factoring that in while considering him to be a lesser QB. Y'all are really underestimating McVay. The best point, which was made earlier, is Jimmy lacking durability. So we'll need to have a legit #2 behind him if we decide to do this.

For you old timers, Jimmy G reminds me of Ferragamo. Can play really well at times, but then can throw bonehead INTs at any time.

You got a problem with Italian-American Quarterbacks?!?! ... Hmmm
Yeah, they also have a similar look don't they. My wife told me she liked the Rams as a teenager because of Ferragamo.... way before I knew her.

Just what I've seen on line I can't confirm any of it but Giants Fans are talking about it. Google Stafford and Giants.
So you decided to type in caps a message that confirms it’s happening? Seriously?

Shit posting is frowned upon here.

Honestly.....this is every QB I have ever seen in my 53 years.

Look at MaHomes this last syper bowl......I remember both Montana and Brady having brainfart games.

I have no doubt that the Giants would love to bring Stafford to NY, why wouldn't they? Keep in mind this is the same team that thought they were so close to winning last off season that they traded for Brian Burns. Daboll needs to win 8-9 games this year or he's gone.
Adding Stafford while keeping the #3 overall pick would allow them some immediate improvement and potential to add talent

Those 3 QB’s all won at least a couple Superbowls.I guess Jimmy G has won and been to a couple himself.Didn’t he lose to that guy on his first SB ?

The longer this drags the more it feels like a trade is gonna happen.

I just can’t figure out what team. I just have a hard time believing Stafford would want to play for NYG or Pittsburgh. Both have terrible offensive lines and coaching staffs that could be on their way out. Both play in a ton of cold weather games too. The *only* situation I could see Stafford being open to would be Minnesota.
