Agree that Nabors is an excellent young receiver, although he isn’t the same type of player as Puka.

But Kupp is clearly not the same player he was and even Stafford looked on the downward slope at times in 2024.

It’s going to take more than two past their best veterans to turn the Giants into playoff candidates overnight.
The poaster saying that Kupp is a number 1 receiver still and Malik and Puka are comparable receivers... is a take.

Play hardball for their 1st. If the Raiders bid, play them against the Raiders.

I've heard the Rams have said a 1st is a minimum for Stafford, and I hope they stick to that.
Two seconds is first round value, don't get hung up on a 1st round pick. Two seconds is a great deal for us and a lot higher than we likely should get.

And if they get a 2nd from the NYG or Raiders, I’d think it would not be too hard to trade that to a team after day 1 for their 2026 1st. Those 31-38 picks are basically end of 1st types - especially when discounting next year…and a team who really wants a specific guy early day 2.

If the goal is to create as much 2026 draft capital as possible.

You know what the Diffrence between all of them except Warner and Jones at the time? We were not a winning team then and werent for YEARS before or After they weregone!

Steven Jackson Last season with Rams was 7-8
Pace/Holt last season 2-14
Bruce 3-13
Dickerson 6-9

Kupp/Stafford 10-7 1 play away for NFC Championship it dont make any sense. I would understand if we had another 5-12 season like 22.
This feels like another Warner situation.

And we had the worst GM/HC/owner combination in our history for most of them as well (with the exception of S-Jax who just wanted to win).

Do you trust McSnead, Demoff, and Kroenke? Do you? I do, which is why we're going to be okay. They have a plan. They have the knowledge to see the right moves and the courage to make them. That's why, whatever happens, we will stand out ground, for we are the L.A. Rams, and we're not going anywhere.

Hides from Memento's wrath

You SHOULD be hiding from your wife's/girlfriend's wrath. That's whom I'd worry about. Better pray that she never sees your post (same goes with all y'all with your wives/girlfriends!) or everyone's posts on the ass, boobs, and legs threads; I'm broke, and can't pay for your funeral costs.

Well, just thinking that the 1st is out of the question, and that each of those are pretty attractive in their own right.
I think the first by itself would be fair considering it could save Daboll and Shoen’s job. I’d play that angle right from the start.

Not getting a capable QB likely seals their fate after this season. iirc their defense played well against the Rams in 2023. So they may not view themselves as far from contention. If that’s the case maybe they part with next years first. But if it’s in the teens that doesn’t help the Rams move up to a top five or ten pick next year.

Well, as Jourdan described them, they are very hubristic. If their grand idea falls it’s “Oh Well.” Then onto the next one.

But, I’ll take that over anything we’ve seen in the Rams recent history.

I find it hard to believe that first quote actually came from someone in the Rams organization
I don’t think he said it was an actual quote. It’s more a hypothetical one from him putting himself in the shoes of the FO.

Fortune favors the bold. If they are nothing else, they are definitely bold. And bold to a point it won us a Super Bowl.

I’m under no illusions that they are perfect and mistake-free, but I’ll take the current HC-GM combo over any others the Rams have ever had by a wide margin.

I keep saying this but keep getting laughed at. Stafford leaving is stupid. Kupp leaving is Stupid. You dont break a team up like this.
Not everyone disagrees with you; and some posters just enjoy "What If" discussions.

I think a high majority of ROD posters want Stafford back, and hope the Rams and Stafford work things out.

I beileve things will be worked-out, unless Stafford's demands are truly unreasonable.

In the case of Kupp, you will see several posts from me that express surprise about the Rams' decision to move-on now. My opinion is mostly based on the salary cap. Kupp is a huge cap hit in 2025 (almost $30M). However, regardless of whether the Rams trade him or release him, a majority of that amount will STILL hit their cap. I would rather they move-on next off-season when the cap savings are significant and the Dead-$ is much lower.

Especially if they threw in a premium defensive weapon in a position of need (ILB, CB, NT).

I really want Stafford next season because we have a SB capable team with the current roster, but we aren't "all-in" desperate to get MS another SB next season.

I'm just as excited about the possibility of opening a multiple-year SB window. We could theoretically have that with Stafford, but the odds of him lasting until 40 at his current form aren't very good (and more $$ he requires, the less we'll have to protect him).
I don't see any super bowl window without a QB. This draft is shit and the free agents are meh.

He is, and thats the problem! He should not be Fullbacking the entire game and ignored while he has energy. Then passed to after blocking the entire game and exausted. Games Kupp is not targeted 5 or more times, we fail to Score 20 points 90 % of those games! He would be a WR1 on 90% of other teams. Games when Puka and Kupp are evenish in targets for the game ,we score 20+ points almost every time. He would have been right on pace for another 900 Yard season or 1000 if not ignored for 5 games.

Have you sent all of this to McVay?
