Wonder what it's going to cost him to get the #9 from the Goat Wolford. He was the future at QB according to most people doing the happy dance about this trade now 24 hours later he won't even be able to keep his number.

I'll say he keeps it.

There will be a feel good story about Stafford asking and Wolf handing it to him out of respect, saying the right thing and all that. "Was a big fan of his growing up." But there may be some money involved too.

Prediction out there. Let's watch it happen.

If not, I won't be crushed. Will just slap another number on him in PS.

I'm not bitter that's one thing that's making me passive aggressive if anything. People with this assumption I'm bitter. I'm disappointed that the Rams leadership keep making keep making this same mistake again. I'm confused why people seem to be ok with it. I don't give a damn about Goff. I don't like his college the town it's in or anything about where he comes form I was completely uncaring about him. I care about the team he QB'd for. Since he was under center for the Rams I was all in on him and want him to succeed. He's a Lion now and honestly I couldn't care less if he ever plays a game again in the NFL he's not a Ram.

I'm a Stafford as a Rams fan now and happy to move forward. Want some painful reading? Read honest reviews of Stafford by Lions fans, on second thought some around here might not want to with all the glowing praise he's getting.

There's nothing to need to bounce back from, I'm a Rams fan and always will be the only time that came close to changing was when GF traded Dickerson. Man that hurt a 17 year old kid.

Got nothing but love for you as well and I'm hoping for the best as I have at this point in every NFL season for 40+ years.
GF didn't trade ED, that was Shaw and he said so.

I so tired of hearing GF did this that, anything that ever happened with the Rams came from Shaw or JZ,period. End of Sentence.

GF was just a women that let Shaw and JZ run everything, same as Stan.

Any Ram Fan should know that.

To hell with your respect in regards to me but putting up with a long time of watching how you badly treat other posters.

Thats not cool.

Fucking preach! For real @OldSchool. You are a smart guy. But you have got to be the hardest guy to read posts from. In all my years here only two posters have made me shake my head so much. And I say this as a guy who has had very minimal conflict with you. I think you need to take a step back sometimes and decide if it's worth posting. Not trying to be a dick, not trying to start shit. But...damn.

I got through the first 15 pages to get a feel on the big move. Lot's of Rams passion going on. I wasn't thrilled with the Ramsey trade. It worked out and I think this trade will too.

I tried to look at the contract numbers which are good for the Rams believe it or not. A good read with the below.

Goff regressed. The Miami game was the first big/obvious game where Goff was not prepared. McVay stated the Rams knew the blitz/5 man rushes were coming and prepared (per McVay) for them. Goff apparently didn't make the right adjustment. Goff and his relationship with McVay went downhill from there. I don't know why but, Goff did not seem the same as in the past. He looked confused a lot. He made some really bad throws. Interceptions, fumbles, and bad decisions followed.

I like Goff but, he isn't athletic enough to overcome his mistakes nor the Rams offensive line's deficiencies.

Stafford was the Lions offense forever. He never had much help. He has a cannon and quicker release. Moves well enough and can run when needed. He won't have to put the Rams on his back. Rams could have more money in 2021 Stafford will be a Ram for a number of years. He needs to be smart and stay healthy. Rams are better with him.

Lmao, love all these media sob stories feeling bad for Goff. The same media that labeled him a bust and continued to push that it was McVay that was the talent and not him for the last 4 seasons. Absolute trash just trying to start bullshit like always.

I've been wondering too. All I've seen is his wife excited for the Cali sunsets I believe she said.

I am a Goff homer. I always looked at his play with rose colored glasses. With that said ever since the MIA game I have been sitting on the edge of my seat watching Rams games hoping Goff doesn’t f*** up when the offense was on the field. Relief when he didn’t and disbelief at what I was watching when he did. Not a good feeling. I concluded he had reached his ceiling in 2018 and with less than ideal surroundings would regress. I don’t know what we will get with Stafford but I was pretty sure what we had with with Goff. An average NFL QB with a propensity to turn the ball over. Pretty sure neither of these traits were satisfactory to McVay. NFL always demands “What are you doing for me now?”.

Watching Stafford highlights. I see what I already knew but what I also see is he can work with any receiver it's not just the main guys he finds the open dudes even the no names. He is also very good at throwing receivers open. We will need to restructure or do the bonus money trick I do want to keep Floyd and Johnson .. Johnson is more of a luxury but he is such a leader.

Anyways I'd love to add a center and I do think shireff (spelling) will be to expensive. Warford though might be cheaper year off etc. Move Corbett to center if we can't find one.

Last thing Stafford has an excellent connection with Jones especially... more so than Gallowday I'd love either or but 4 receivers Jefferson again would be the 4th so not sure if that's a luxury we cant skimp on probably and allocate elsewhere.
I'd love to sure up the line though and bring back some of our own and see if there are some pennies left for the bargain bin.
We also have what about 5 million in rollover cap?

A lot of the media are complete parasites lol. Willing to change on a dime to fit a narrative.

IIRC she fired Carroll's son that first week after his dad died. That was kind of an actionable event.

Yeah like I say with every former Rams player. Best of luck unless you play us which the Lions do btw this coming year.
You’re a better man than me. Like I mentioned earlier in this thread the second they leave the rams my coping mechanism dictates I hate them LOL. I hope Todd Gurley and Jared Goff get into a fistfight and both are banned from the NFL
