This is my Lions fan buddy was saying. Outside of the Calvin Johnson years this is probably Stafford's best wide receiver core he's had this past year. Galloday has really came on and may get really big money. Marvin Jones is 31 or 32 but can still fly and that would be a reasonable pickup.
I switched it up to this one. Not the greatest by any means but I'm sure we'll have some good options come training camp time.
Edit: But Stafford looks like an absolute fuckin' stud in your avatar.
Exactly and I trust my resource Lions fan. He knows what he sees in Stafford and speaks very highly of him.Jones will be 31 in March. And would be a great pickup if they can get him for a reasonable contract for a couple of seasons. Than we could focus the draft on o-line and defense.
Until the Rams rework Stafford's contract, they have $20 million on the books for Stafford and $22 million on the books for Goff. It's a net loss of about $8 million. Spotrac isn't correct. We have to eat Goff's dead money. Detroit cannot take it in a trade.
I feel better after a nights sleep. I’m excited to see what McVay can do with Stafford. If he wants him, then I’m in. But we better be back to 30 points a game type offense and not the crap playcalling we saw this year. So I’m in and excited.
I just wish the FO would be better at giving contracts. So many self-inflicted wounds.
You may be right but we weren't able to sign both Brockers and Saffold because of cap hell.
The Rams have proven that they can work around the cap so we have room to sign a FA or two but they are usually one year guys.
However, I doubt we will be able to sign Floyd or Johnson because of this cap hell.
Exactly and I trust my resource Lions fan. He knows what he sees in Stafford and speaks very highly of him.
By the way, I was a little shocked of how much we gave up but then I look at it differently today.
I've told you whyAnd people hate this trade. SMH
Bruhhhh...we're avatar twinsies now.
I’m doing regional hot dogs I wanna try everyone’s. I just didn’t know if when they say chopped onion it meant raw or not. View attachment 43335
Mac, I agree with all of that, a very measured and fair assessment. I would add that Stafford has better pocket awareness than Goff. I think Stafford will be better able to sense pressure and move around to make a throw or avoid a sack. It kind of goes together with processing speed.I spent the night watching clips of Stafford. At first it pained me because I was wrong. Then I got excited because me being wrong meant the deal was much better than I initially thought.
1) Arm. Goff has a good arm. Stafford has a GREAT arm.
2) Processing speed. Goff struggles sometimes processing pressure. Stafford clearly processes MUCH faster.
3) Mobility. Goff at 26 is BARELY more mobile than Tom Brady and Brady slides better in the pocket at 43. Stafford is more mobile than Rodgers in the pocket.
4) Toughness. Both are very tough.
5) Football IQ. Goff has decent awareness. Stafford has a very high football IQ.
6) Eye Test. Based on what McVay clearly covets for his offense, it's easy to see that Stafford is a perfect fit.
7) Deep ball. One of the things Goff has really struggled with the last two years is hitting the deep ball in stride. Stafford excels at this
I'm hoping that Stafford is kinda like Jim Plunkett for us. Plunkett was a #1 overall pick (Patriots) who struggled and was traded for a QB and two 1st round picks (SF). He went on to win 2 Super Bowls (Raiders). Stafford's had a much better go than Plunkett did, but there are some similarities. Point being that he had uneven success at his first stop and when he went to a stop with very good Offensive coaching (Tom Flores), he flourished. Not by today's standards, but led the team to 2 Super Bowls. It's not a completely parallel story.
Hopefully we keep both Woods and Kupp because with Akers and Higbee and Jefferson, that's a very sure handed group. While Stafford has had individual weapons including time with Calvin Johnson, who was often triple teamed, Stafford's never had a group of weapons like this.
The rest of the league is right to be worried, especially the rest of our division...
Yes, that concerns me too, plus we need to improve the offensive line. Maybe they will restructure Donald’s contract to make more cap room in 2021.Well, sportrac is updated, so at the moment the Rams QB spot will take up an additional 8 mill of cap space
So for those thinking this trade would help us keep Floyd or Johnson? This trade now means without question both are gone2024 Los Angeles Rams Cap Table

Must say Natural casing.
I actually had to send an email to Hoffy to find out where I can find them here in So Cal.
We have Smart & Final and Smart & Final Extra out here.
Smart and Final Extra carries them, but Smart and Final doesn't.
Some Albertson's out here also have them.
I love the air-fryer for dogs and sausages as well.
I've told you why
He is 33 has a bad back and most of those stats come with the Lions behind and other teams letting Stafford pass with linebackers and safeties playing back.
I could be wrong and I will eat crow if he does as well as a Ram but I just don't see it.
Stats don't mean anything in my book. I go by what they do to preserve wins or how they do in comebacks.
I think Stafford had one year where he brought the lions back from behind frequently but other than that one year, he really hasn't been good on the win loss ratio. Maybe with a better defense and run game - Stafford will come alive. We shall see,
