Book it up for 4900 and 42Stafford will throw for 4,500 and 35TDs in his first year with McVay. Book it.
I love this trade. Stafford numbers will probably be some of his best of his career here.
We finally get to see Mcvays true offense as there will be no need for watering it down.
Steep price, but I have complete faith that Snead will keep the talent flowing.
Guess I need to go avatar shopping.

Well I don't like this trade because of what we gave up and I may look silly come next year.He has been on some terrible teams. He's never had what we would call a good team. One year he threw for 5000 yards and 40 tds. That's a top five stat and he didn't have his coach telling him what plays to call. QBs have played into their early 40's. If Stafford plays five years then this trade is a big success. The Rams window is open now. They had to make a move.
Your reasons sound like generalizations stretched to endorse your opinion. Its funny because I am a skeptical thinker, and have always used critical analysis when considering everything. To me his move is a no brainer and as big if not bigger than getting Ramsey. This is the best I've felt about the Rams chances since early 2018.
Stats don't mean anything in my book. I go by what they do to preserve wins or how they do in comebacks.

When you look at it that way we coulda just traded 3 firsts for Stafford in 2015 and saved time, money, cap hell, and actually had a first round pick next yearGM Les Snead in 2015 traded 2 Firsts, 1 Second & 2 Thirds to get Goff.
In 2021 Snead traded 2 first rd picks & a third-round pick to get rid of him & that oversized contract he gave Goff.
Total= 4 First Round Selections, 1 Second round, and 3 Third rounders.
I'm sure the east coast has some great options.I got excited because they are supposed to be available on amazon according to their website but on amazon it says out of stock not sure if they'll return . I'm losing hope I can get them since I've never heard of any of those stores you referenced lol
I don't think any team would have given up a 1st rnd pick for goff and his contract yet apparently there were about 10 teams interested in Stafford with the expectation that a first rnd pick would be a starting point.
People here are trying to find the positives in the deal, There will most certainly be added cap flexibilty.I've told you why
He is 33 has a bad back and most of those stats come with the Lions behind and other teams letting Stafford pass with linebackers and safeties playing back.
I could be wrong and I will eat crow if he does as well as a Ram but I just don't see it.

I think Stafford had one year where he brought the lions back from behind frequently but other than that one year, he really hasn't been good on the win loss ratio. Maybe with a better defense and run game - Stafford will come alive. We shall see,
This made me warm up to him a little more. HahaStafford is ok by me
Ahh double bonus. lolSnead beating Lynch to the trade.
I agree with most of what you said, but there is no question something gave way in Goffs brain. We all saw the inexplicable throws right at opposing players while looking mentally flustered. The game planning seemed to frustrate Goff when he was asked to shoulder the burden instead of the run game. Blame Goff/Ol/Mcvay but someone was going to pull the short straw, and that happened to be Goff.Goff has not been good the last couple of years, but the whole offense has been stale since the Bears game two years ago. The Bears figured us out and the league followed. Our line can't pass block to save their lives and our offense is so predictable. I would expect more innovation and variety from McVay. Goff was in the pro bowl and the superbowl just a couple of years ago, so we know he has the talent. He was good enough then to be given a huge contract 2 years early.
I don't know what happened between him and McVay, but their relationship has fallen apart. Does McVay rub people the
wrong way sometimes? IDK.
The thing that really bugs me is the contract decisions that have been made. We didn't have to give Goff a new contract and he could have just walked this year, no cap crunch and no draft picks. His new contract doesn't start till this next year. We have really hurt ourselves with dead cap money the last couple of years. We wasted enough cap that could have filled every hole with quality players.
I think we will probably be better this year, but we have mortgaged our future by making bad decisions.
We could go back and forth all day on this. But Goff is 36-0 with a lead past halftime with McVay and I don't think he had many leads at halftime with Fisher either.Oh really?
Then perhaps this statistic /article will help to assauge your anguish over Goff's departure.
"Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford leads the NFL in comebacks since entering the league 2009
This past weekend, Stafford led the Lions to a comeback win over the Cardinals, and that was the 29th comeback win of his career."
