I agree that the Offense was disappointing. The O-Line had injuries and was ineffective, Gurley showed decline and Goff had too many turnovers.

However, the Rams were still only one spot away from being a top-10 scoring team (11th); and were top-10 in yardage (7th).

Thats still way too big a slide for my taste and now we have questions and or deficiencies at 3 spots on the oline, big questionmarks at RB, no cooks, and goff needs to get better.

We can throw down all the excuses you want but goffs completion percentage on passes that should have been completed was 62%. Taking into consideration all the next gen factors, his completion percentage should have been over 66%. Now a 4% drop seems small but only 2 qbs had more than 4%, rookies haskins and minchew. Making matters worse were the potential big plays and tds he missed. I like goff but man he needs to change that.

Just imagine LF as our top RB, draft a great C and pick up a Guard in the 3rd ,(several top ones should be there) those 3 moves will push us into the top 4-7 range in offense.

He was pro bowl level in '17 & '18 but '19 he regressed c'mon it's obvious when you go from the 2bd highest rated Oline in '18 to the 2nd worst you tell me why he regressed. Any tip QV would have done the same.

I agree with the comments that state a RB will only be as good as the line. That is true. A star RB will only be so productive. Look at Le'Veon Bell last year. He didn't crack 800 rushing yards in 2019 behind an AWFUL offensive line.

So the sooner the Rams get a solid line, the better it will help the ground game. A great line can make an average RB solid!

In what universe would adding an average running back signed for 1 year at a little over $4 million dollars help us? You spend a draft pick on him, one that could be spent on a RB who would make less than that $4 million over a 4 year contract. Then you have to sign Fournette going forward and that cuts into money to sign Ramsey, Kupp and Johnson to name a few. I just don't get the thought process that this is a good idea.

He actually had better numbers in '19! In '18 he only played 8 games and averaged 3.3 ypc and 55 ypg. Jags are nothing special on offense but even behind a bad OLine and with his knee issues Gurley this year and the last year of Fisher was better than Fournette.

I was also not happy with the decline on offense.

However, if 11th in scoring and 7th in yardage was disappointing to you, how did you feel about the Defense that was 17th and 13th in those 2 categories?

That unit lost two of it’s three sack leaders and most productive player the past two years, not named Donald.

Im not happy about the defensive rankings last year either especially when you add the several times they were totally dominated. Of course they were never near the top of the league like the offense had been over 2 years but that doesnt make me feel any better about it.

I think our D wil be better this year. The line is better with the additions and i see reason to be hopeful that gaines and day improve. I'll also take a secondary with ramsey, a healthy johnson and 2nd year rapp over no ramsey, weddle and rapp as a rookie.

The linebackers are plentyiful. Just need to be sorted out and i feel at least 2 will step up their game to be quuality starters. Still have hope for obo.

That would piss me off. RB is an easy position to run by committee with median draft pick investment. I am fucking tired of depending on veteran castoffs from other teams. Snead needs to put his big boy pants on and hit on a fucking RB in round 3 or 4 then enjoy the first contract benefit.

Don't hold back Merlin!

I'm surprised how much traction the possible LF trade has gotten. I'm with you here. A one year rental at $4.1Mil seems short-sided. I don't t see the Rams giving him a long term expensive deal even with a good year. I have a lot of faith in Henderson to be the explosive back he was drafted for. LF would take away from Henderson's opportunity to show off his special talents. Snead can find a solid RB in round three that can take over the #2 spot and be around for four years at a very reasonable cost. He would also be good insurance for injury to Henderson and can help keep Henderson fresh. Rams save valuable cap space and get a younger longer-term value.

I wouldn't complain at all.
I'm not sure about the claims of him being a head case. I honestly haven't paid attention to the drama going on in Jacksonville.

As far as playing football. He's a very good rb. Very good.
I would love to see an improved interior o line and LF going apeshit on defenses.

Also. TGs Redzone production will be missed greatly. I'm not sure if Henderson will be able to fill that gap. LF seems like the type of mauling back that would soften that blow

2019 Fournette outplayed 2019 Gurley.

Not in touchdowns. There it was not even close.

Watch the film dude, it's actually not even close. Fournette is on an entirely different level than Gurley right now. I dont have the stats in front of me but if you look at explosive runs in 2019 I bet it would be laughable. He is one of the best backs in the league and if we can get him for a late round pick I'd be down, $4M isnt bad. Todd hasn't been Todd since he got hurt in Det.

Did I see that he would only be a $4 mil cap hit? I mean for 1 of our 2 3rd round picks, power back that's a nice change of pace with Henderson.

I see lots of folks are dismissing the idea, but I mean we really need to weigh the options. The quality of running back we can get with our highest pick being in the 50s. Fornette wouldn't have to be our every down workhorse. Use him in combo with Henderson to save the wear and tear.

You know Snead likes to make deals with the Jags.

Not shooting down this idea at all. I think Fournette would be a viable option for us atm.
