I absolutely loved Corum's game in college and whenever he got snaps in horns he looked great. Let's make the backfield a split next year and see what he can do with a larger sample size. I think Corum can really produce in this offense. Top end speed would be great but I would not classify it as essential. The issue is when you don't have it and fumble all the time. If Corum can basically be Williams without ball security issues, that's a great RB1.
Williams and Corum are by committee types in the NFL. Way to use them is cycle them and get fresh legs, let them compete in games and ride whoever is hot.
Williams outperformed Corum this season. So the Rams rode him. But it ended up biting them because the ball security issue never got rectified. And again in rbbc approach fumbling means you cede snap priority to the other backs.
That needs to be a priority in camp. Then Corum improves hopefully with a second camp. And maybe the Rams add a third back to the group who either can mash, or add return skills.
If say Jeanty were to fall to them, then take him. An elite back is probably not the plan but it would have major impact to this offense. Because this OL opens holes in the ground game.
