Might look even better with a more dynamic RB getting half the workload with Williams & Corum finding roles on 3rd down and a series here or there on first & second down.

I am not for dumping Williams, although freeing up his $5M cap number wouldn't hurt. However, he's obviously a good starting caliber back, so if a rookie struggles to adjust, he would be great as a mentor and a 3rd down back.

Now, maybe it would cause a problem since a high to mid round draft pick at RB would signal that Kyren has a year left here and he is done. In that case they may feel they need ti move him as they did with Earnest Jones.

$5 million? What round pick was he ? A FIFTH ROUND PICK !!

Might as well DUMP Cobie Durant !!
They sure have played better than Sean Mcvay’s hand selected,Poil Jumping Logan Brussss !

IMO all the Derion Kendrick’s HATERS will be eating CROW in 2025.

BTW - what happened to all The BLAKE CORUM Fan GO ??

I’ll say he sure had a better rookie season than Kyren Williams. Now Ronnie Rivers rookie year was close to Corum’s ? Probably better than both ?? Just saying without looking it up. Not the biggest numbers guy,but they are what they are .

Kendrick might not even make the roster and most of us will welcome that. Notice how no one lost their shit about bone-headed secondary penalties this year? I wonder why :laugh1:

Should the Rams retain Alaric Jackson, the O-Line may well return in-tact ... starters and top reserves.
draft LT, resign A. Jackson for RT at 22m/per, add OC not sure Limmer is the solution at OC then Add a real fast outside WR w/ some size no more Smurfs please unless its a clone of Steve Smith Sr #89

spend on OT & CB and retain DT and possibly add another DT

I absolutely loved Corum's game in college and whenever he got snaps in horns he looked great. Let's make the backfield a split next year and see what he can do with a larger sample size. I think Corum can really produce in this offense. Top end speed would be great but I would not classify it as essential. The issue is when you don't have it and fumble all the time. If Corum can basically be Williams without ball security issues, that's a great RB1.

I believe the thinking is if they were to move Williams, Corum would share time with a bigger bodied rookie who would eventually become the bell cow, with Corum being your change of pace/ 3rd down back.

The Rams need to upgrade some players in the trenches. We're not that bad when healthy but we need upgrades, especially since we have a first round pick.

I just think we are a trade or two or draft pick or two from a super bowl. As long as we don't dump the current nucleus of the team the Rams will be just fine.

Need someone with juice period. Size is nice but some backs run bigger than their size.
This. Kyren reminds me a bit of Benny Cunningham. Had the burst to come in for a pinch and the runs between the 20s wasn’t a huge downgrade from the starter. But we need a guy who can break the long one occasionally.

With The Rams O’Line being what it is would be nice to have a bruiser at TB.

Just wondering about the $5 mil ?

That's what OTC shows as his salary for 25'. I don't understand it either unless they gave him a raise after last year or it's some kind of earned incentive payout.

It's an estimate, there's a thing I think called proven performer escalator. Every team gets this it's for people on rookie contracts especially non first round picks maybe even all non first rounders that out perform their rookie contract get a bump the last year of their rookie deal. Nobody knows just yet how much it will be but he will get a bump next year in base pay. Not sure if it's guaranteed or what though.

Are you shitting me? I never knew Eric was that bad at fumbling wtf?
he was so good that even though you hated the fumbles he made up for it most times with an amazing gallop or 2.

Over the last two years where would you rank Williams among other running backs? For example, in terms of consistency and impact? He would have to be close to the top, right?

If Williams is a problem then we are doing just fine! I welcome competition but can’t help feeling we would miss him if he wasn’t here and that a team like the Chiefs would scoop him up with grateful hands

Let’s see if Corum beats him out before pronouncing him the new starter…

Williams "has done fine"

He is actually one of the more productive RB in the NFL.

However he lacks some things and when you throw in the fumbles it's just tough to invest another contract in him.

He will either play out his contract next year or be dealt before that.

But I just can't see him getting an extension.
