How high would you have traded up? With what assets?
I'm not fantasy GM guy and don't pretend to be him, I just know what an absolute stud at RB looks like and it aint Kyren Williams. I also believe they will have to almost talk Stafford into another season or two from the way he answered the post game questions about coming back. We need a RB who can carry the team when Matthew is struggling and we don't need a guy who fumbles in the biggest games.

This RB class is ridiculous.

You have Jeanty at the top, total package all 3 downs. May get to 26 due to depth of class.

Then you have the robo types built like Gurley, the North Carolina and Iowa RBs. Those two are studs.

Then a glut starting that round 3 range. Of those Scattebo is my huckleberry. He may slide due to forty but his film is fuckin lit. He has McVay written on his forehead. He can screen, lead block, wheel route, and run the fuck out of the ball.

Round 5 still has guys like Martinez. I mean damn. They will change a bit based on workouts but this class is :fire1:. Rams will find another back if they want one.

I don't watch much college ball, but I saw the classic between Arizona State and. Texas.

Scattebo is not a human. He's a rhinoceros.

Where would you rate Kaleb Johnson out of Iowa? HE looks like a stud prospect to me.

Where are we picking 27th? It would NOT surprise me for McVay to finally get his first round offensive selection of choice albeit RB, OT or WR. We need it.

I think he and the NC kid are late first early second types. Not that I stack a board. But if they run well watch out.

I just don't think we overpay for Kyren. He finished 4th in league in fumbles with 5, lost 3.

Don't think that includes today's game. He is a good back, I'd like to keep him but I feel pretty confident we could get the same production from Corum hopefully without the fumbles.

He is sitting at 5million next year and that's about all I would pay him avg/year if they resigned/contract extension. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/77041/kyren-williams

That would value him close to Devin Singletary from the Giants according to https://overthecap.com/position/running-back

I'm done with him, but I don't think our opinion matters. McVay doesn't tolerate this type of stuff - when we lose in a playoff game, McVay attacks the reason we lost or why our season wasnt successful.

This is likely to be a Kyren and a 7th for a 2026 6th rounder type of trade, whether we like it or not.
No way we should give Williams away because we're pissy over a loss. Have him play out his contract unless somebody offers a good trade.
Problem is we won't pick until picks 90 and 100 in rd 3. So maybe a trade down in the 1st to get an extra 3rd, but as it stands now, a big gap between pick 26 and the end of rd 3. None of the top backs will be there, especially as teams seem to be prioritizing them again.
That's fine. This is a deep HB class.
How about we quit fooling around and get a weapon at RB? Use a first rounder and do it right.
No. That's bad resource allocation. We should focus our top pick on a more valuable position. If Ashton Jeanty by some miracle falls to pick #26, fine, take him. But that's purely because he's a top 5 player in the draft.
If he were to make it to 26 then sure I'd be fine with Jeanty. But that doesn't feel likely.

My RB desire this year is a goddamn fucking power back. Scattebo or Martinez plz.
If you're interested in a power HB, take a look at Kalel Mullings from Michigan too. 6'2" 233 pound former LB. Vision, patience, and very agile for a guy his size. Should go on Day 3.
Scattebo makes dudes miss like crazy too. He is something.
I like Scattebo, but I'm leaning towards LeQuint Allen if we go HB late on Day 2. Scattebo does just about everything well (except home run ability), but Allen is special as a receiver. Talented runner too. But man, that guy is something else in the passing game. Runs routes and catches the ball like a WR.

What happened to all the Blake Corum Fans. The Rams did pick up there old RB for the playoffs.Found that interesting if Sean Mcvay resigning him ?

Was that a move for 2025 ? He likes having veteran leadership in the locker room that help lead the way.

As long as he's not getting most of the carries next year, I don't care either way. But I can definitely see McVay trading him

With McVay you can be certain that he'll do what he thinks is best. Wouldnt surprise me if Kyren is cut, traded, given a contract extension or goes to camp as is.
But I get it, the natives want Blood!!!

I think they drafted Corum to replace KDub and they still have a year to get Corum up to speed, assuming he is ready for mini camp.

However, I friggin love KWill and really hope we get a ring with him next year. He is still an absolute BARGAIN considering we drafted him in the 5th round. Let's see how he bounces back. No one is going to be harder on KW than himself. That kid LOVES football.

So we should go from Kyren Williams to Scattebo who has the same 40 time and has 10 fumbles over the last 3 seasons?

Yes.

Fumbles need to be looked at vs carries. His rate is average.

We don't need to overprioritize speed in the backfield because everyone wants Barkley now. Scattebo would do a bit of everything in this offense, punish defenses, and move chains.

And make opposing tacklers feel pain.

You may be out of luck with that request. McVay would draft Tattoo from Fantasy Island at HB if he could pass block.
