The way John Kelly ran in college is translating to the NFL.

I don't follow college football that much, (just Clemson and the real USC) but I posted on here after the draft;
you have to see this kid's highlight real.
He looks legit.

For one year, Zac Stacy was damn good. Tre Mason was damn good. Kelly will not be Gurley. Gurley has hall of fame potential.
I would still tell Kelly that he has Hall of Fame potential.
Now that would be a Back Field.
Two potential Hall of Famers.

I think Brown will start out getting the reps as the # 2 at first based on blocking and the smaller things.
I agree totally. Now by halfway through the season i see him a chance to surpass Brown by ability and touching up on his random skills and knowledge that isnt so apparent.

I contested when this all started that Davis and Kelly should challenge for the #2. It was a shame to see Davis get hurt. We have some real talent. Kelly was number three. Brown was number two. He turned in his wings.
Now, Kelly is number two. But you remember one thing: if Kelly screws up he'll be driving a truck full of dog shit.

But, seriously, I like his attitude, passion, and the chip on his shoulder he runs with. Just another great find for Les Snead's staff. Remember, this is the kid who couldn't even talk on the phone, when he received the call from McVay and staff. He just broke down and cried. He appreciates his chance.

Nice job resurrecting this post.

Positivity and hoping he believes in himself is not Kool Aid.
I remember that long talk I had with Kurt Warner right after Trent Green had his knee tore up;

I said Kurt, "What if I told you that YOU are going to be better than Trent and take the Rams to a Superbowl this year !?!".

And look what happened.

Well he will be on another team after his rookie contract is up that is for sure. Worthy of 10+ touches a game. Happy to have him!
