Love it.....hope someone took me seriously just because I didn't do blue font on purpose:laugh1:

I will say this about JJ(43) 3 . The Rams got a nice Comp for him & Wade Phillips marked an X on him in the draft.
Les Snead traded down & got him.He also was a Mentor to Jordan Fuller. Eric Weedle loved & mentored JJ.
— If we’re talking Nick Scott & Taylor Rapp ? Those 2 were the backups.Rapp sat The Bench & Scott was a special teams player.
2020 - Staley had The Best Defense in The NFL with JJ & Fuller as his safeties.

A vet Edge would fill a need and possibly help out Young. Was never a big fan, but Clowney is out there still. He obviously can command too much money since nobody is signing him.

Or fuck them picks, try to get Burns again.
Panthers are not trading Burns. IMO, I would love Quinn first, but most likely, if the Rams make a move I believe it will be Melvin Ingram.

Maybe The Rams should see what B. Young does first.
Earnest Brown is going to play The Edge on say First Downs or running downs ? Johan Williams inside out as well.
—I guess I have to look back, but That Fumble of Geno Smith(chargers ??) that got called an incomplete pass last season ? E. Brown came up with the ball. What position was he playing then ??

Good call. Looking back at 2021,The Rams waited until the last week of the preseason to sign (trade) for Sony Michael.
-Look at a team that has extra DE/OLB. thinking Chargers/Raiders.Plus The Rams(Mcvay) will get a upclose look at some of those guys ?

I was hoping that they’d sign JJ. He’s one of my favorite recent players. I figured they could use the veteran leadership.

Maybe he becomes an assistant coach for McVay in the near future

I think the Rams are hoping a veteran presence at FS will give them the same boost that Weddle gave the secondary. The Rams don't win the Lombardi without Weddle. I think the timing is very interesting. This throws ice water on those that think the Rams are going to tank this year.

IMO they sign JJ because the Rams think they can win big this year. Otherwise, there would be no reason to spend the money. I've been in that camp all year.

Okay I know Jake personally so I might have to recuse myself from this, but I do know, he has a very reliable source within the Ram organization, was the first to report that Stetson Bennett was being drafted by the Rams and i trust him unequivocally on the Johnson signing.
Wow... I started listening to Jake at about his 20th episode of DTR. He was paired with Blaine Grisak early on. Dude was so young and he was doing telemarketing, which I think he hated while also trying to get DTR off the ground. I give him shyte for being a Yankees fan, lol.
How did you meet him?

Agree...it's a sign to me that they believe they can contend at least for a playoff spot.

I think this, vet leadership here. Probably takes Yeast's spot with Lake playing the dime-backer (he's looked good in camp) but I could maybe see the possibility that Yeast still starts and it's just depth and vet leadership right now.

Well, if we can't pick up a veteran edge rusher like Quinn, Clowney or Ingram, we'll have to run with who we have. Hoecht showed some promise with his non stop motor. But boy, did he get fooled and caught out of position on run plays. And he's really big. More like interior lineman size. Maybe he can learn how to stay home on those traps and counters?

I'd love to have Quinn back in horns. The production is obviously not going to up there with how he was in his prime, but the love and respect him and Donald have for each other, those two back together I think would do alot for the locker room if shit gets tough.

JJ3 was our green dot and leading tackler the year we were Staley's #1 D. He was also reportedly a really great communicator. How do you all think he'll do in Rah's system?
Don't see why he can't do what Weddle did in the playoffs which really changed our Defense at the perfect time.

Still don't think we win the SB without Weddle.

Which is crazy bc he was not good with us in 2019. He was a shell of his former self.

JJ III is this year's Weddle.

Quinn could be this year's Von. More rotational than every down.

A couple of cheap Vets who the players and coaches love.

Now we need a starting caliber MLB and probably an Edge but this is one step towards winning more games. We have talent but we need more veterans. It wouldn’t surprise me if Johnson produces his best season

I’d say NO on Robert Quinn.

Lmao- that cowpaddie he spit out was amazing.Must have been Old style North Carolina Tabacco !! Actually impressive.
To me he wasn’t very good against the run & B. Young is going to be OK.
Funny how fast Fans can get down on a player(me included).I’ve seen him upclose working hard,so my opinion has changed.
Imo- there will be a LOT of Ran Fans changing their mind on B. Young’s talent as an Edge. BubbaRam included.(you started this) LOL
