Fuck him.

Unless he becomes a Ram of course.

I'll share this with my Brethren here. A fishing buddy of mine who played DL in the NFL and is in the HOF has told me for years that JJ is completely over-rated. Way over-rated in his eyes. He literally gets pissed and rants about how the media builds this guy up and how wrong it is. It’s really something to hear him rant on about. I've heard it so much from him that I believe him.
That’s actually very interesting. How does he explain the production then?

Well... he has talked about much of his stat numbers being hollow for a couple of reasons. That division has had some real duds for him to play against being one... and the AFC in general has sucked more the most part in his eyes.

He feels production should be measured by team success. Houston is 4-6 in the playoffs since JJ has been with the team. All of their "playoff" wins came in Wildcard games which aren't really considered to be real playoff games by some people. They've lost every real playoff game (Divisional Round) they've ever played in with JJ.

The dirty details of playing DL are things he loves to point out. He isn't impressed with what he sees from JJ there. He knows that stuff... much of it is basically Greek to me.

Ya I hear ya. I don't pretend to understand the game like those guys do I had just never heard that about JJ before I thought he was super respected by his peers. Interesting that he would put playoff record so firmly on the shoulder of JJ. I don't remember his stats in the playoffs but maybe he disappeared?

we need to find an OLB that will stay for awhile
I would have stayed forever, man....

Green Bay bound. Wisconsin kid looking to help a team get their ring. They can get better up front as evidenced in the NFC Championship game.

The real questions is who gets 99

Actually that's not the case at all. He has ALWAYS said nothing but over the top positive things about AD.

When AD was a rookie... he said that he was the ONE AND ONLY player that he has ever seen that came into the league with a higher level of skill and ability than he had. He has always marveled over Donald. In fact, that's one of the main reasons that he bags on JJ... especially 5 years ago. He would go into great detail about the subtle DL line things that Donald was already doing at a level far beyond JJ.

He may have changed his mind last fall. He sounds jealous to me

Well... if you check right here in our chat with him. He said that he thinks AD is the closest player to him in the game today. That chat happened in 2016.

All of our QnA' s are located in their own little forums here at ROD. Just go to the home page and scroll down. I think many of our members only ever visit the Rams/NFL forum and never even look in the others.

I recall. I’m guessing thatif he’s on a Tams fan forum he’d be less likely to rip on AD. Did you read that link. I remembered it from this fall because I was surprised he said what he did.

Trust me... he loves to rag on me about Ram players. We go back and forth about our favs. He's a giant fan of AD. He's hard to impress too.

There's a "business side" of things for him when he's talking behind a mic.

When we're talking shit amongst ourselves... he's never had anything but respect for 99.

Los Angeles Rams
This one is probably more fantasy than anything, but that won't stop Rams fans from envisioning a defensive front that includes Watt and reigning Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald. Watt would seemingly take the place of Michael Brockers, but a simple cut-and-sign process won't clear nearly enough space (just $4.6 million) to accommodate Watt. The Rams would still be over the projected $180.5 million cap by over $22 million, meaning a host of moves elsewhere would be necessary to bring him in.
