Maybe it's just me, but with the increase in the cap, I figured JJ would be at around $12M and Tru around $10M, give or take.

The intro offer of $9M struck me as low, but not so low as to be deserving of an outburst.

Petulance is not a valuable in a pro athlete.

What's bugging me more than Jenkins is our inability to sign ANYONE so far. I was really hoping we could get McCleod and/or Barron resigned before free agency. Tru sounds like we won't let walk no matter what with some sort of tag whether franchise or transition.

I agree, my guess is they view Jenkins as the big ticket item and want to lock it up first and set the market internally. I also agree on your 5/51M offer. The Rams offer does seem a little lite if you ask me.

I brought up age for people who are bothered by what JJ did...and it was more just a guess, but one that I think is close to accurate. Most of the posters on here that are outraged by his tweets are probably older. Him doing that just doesn't bother me.

No one is outraged their just saying he's an immature dick

Jenkins fired his agent Sunday and it's an NFL rule that he can't hire a new one for at least 5 days so the soonest we can start negotiating again is Friday. Personally, I'd up our offer to him to 5 years/$51 million and call it a wrap if he declines. Then he can test the market and either comes back if no one lavishes him with a top contract or some fool will over pay for him.

I just googled "he complained about his contract offer on twitter"

I couldn't find another athlete on that list.

Kanye West came up, which tells us all we need to know hahahahahahahaha!!!

That's so hilarious
I had googled Janoris earlier today and look what pops up second:

Without an agent, he's going into the FA period blind. Which is unfortunate because he won't be able to hear all the new offers he's gonna get...

Well, that makes sense Les. They have the most Cap room and need a CB badly. Pretty sure tons of stories and posts as well as inquiries have linked JJ to the Raiders. I said as much I think a week or so ago.

I'd like one - probably Trumaine - clamps is gonna smoke his signing bonus.

Like the safety.

Gaines hope fully back, don't need both. Clamp this jackoff rabbit. I don't trust him.

Barron is a LB rite? Ogeltree in the middle?

Plenty of high draft capital.

Les Baker has been working out, he can hand off to Gurley. Or RGIII. Or Sam Bradford. Romo? Harvard? The 3rd round not a rook anymore from last year? Hell my fat ass can pitch it to Gurley.

Keeping the secondary together is more important than filling the QB spot with a high dollar QB draft pick. Just my opinion.

On what are you basing your assumption?

Our brass has been trying to lock him up, and has referred to doing so as a "top priority" since last off seaseo.
Assumption? How about that the Rams are willing to franchise Tru as reported? Top priority of his demands are reasonable, if he isn't going to be a team player he can go to a team with a shitty soooorting cast or a worse D line and we'll see how many MORE times his ass gets burned for TD's and big plays/first downs.

I wanting too signing Tru to a long term deal, and use JJ's $ on Marvin Jones and a TE possibly add another WR to push Britt. Believe in Gaines & Robertson & Joyner and draft a CB (track record folks!!!!!!).

If you made me guess the odds as to which corner the Rams end up tagging, I might put it 55 % Johnson and 45 % Jenkins

Honestly, I don't care whether or not JJ remains with the Rams -- I'd prefer they lock up Tru and Barron first.

The game that really soured me on Jenkins was the 2013 game in Carolina: Jenkins was running his mouth at Steve Smith all day, and Smith took him to school. I don't doubt that Smith was also jawing back at Jenkins -- but Smith was able to back up his words, and Jenkins wasn't.

If you're gonna poke the bear, you damn well better be able to wrestle him to the ground once he's awake and pissed off.
