Now that I got my excitement out of the way, it'll be a hell of a d-line he'll be going against and the rest of our season is not going to be easy for any QB. I hope he truly is ready. I'm not expecting this to happen because I've learned to lower my expectations of this team over the years but what if.... just what if.... he plays good enough to get us into the playoffs. Ugh, all right can't be talking like that even if just day dreaming. Damn I love hope even if it is always brief lol.

wasn't there a post a couple of weeks back that said that Goff would start against Miami, according to Jared's dad Jerry? if so, this must have been the plan for at least two weeks, so, the info about Goff starting after the bye has some merit... really like to know what Fisher was thinking to change his mind and stick with CK? And if this was the plan, wonder why Fisher continued to troll the media? Maybe sometime soon we'll get the full scoop from Silver...

My expectations are very low...but, we will see some nice throws!

I expect a few plays that are groaners ... but I also think we'll see some throws that elicit a "Holy S--t! Did you see that?!?!?" reaction. But best of all, we'll have some hope going forward.

Anyone else see that?

As far as Goff starting, I'm all for it. Keenum was not getting much accomplished so might as well see what we have in the kid.

Not expecting much... so patience is the key word for me.

Gase is of the mindset to take away our prime target...and pressure the QB...plus Kenny always has a great game, then comes back to earth a lil...until others show they too can beat them, he'll be the defenses main focus.
SPRUCE must be really hurt...not like Cooper, but really getting treatment. In camp, he had a huge immobilizer on his leg after one game...not surprised his calf later started acting up...one side hurt, the other side compensates...
The big games come from Cooper, whom Fish/Boras/Groh love....and the surprise candidate....is Mike Thomas...that guy reminds me of Ike Bruce....he's really good Dave...think Henry Ellard but tougher...Harold Jackson....

I feel like I just won the lottery. I could only afford to go to one game this year and I picked the Dolphins game ( my nephew who is going with me is a Phins fan), Now I get to see Goff start his first game in person!

One thing we know...with Goff at 6' 4" less balls get batted down.

I'm not trying to argue with you as you may end up being right. But I seem to remember Bradford having more passes batted down than Keenum. I don't necessarily think it's all about height on that. If you tip off a D-lineman when the pass is coming, he will put his hands up. A 6'5" D-lineman is going to bat down any QBs pass if he knows when and where it's going.

That being said, I think Goff has better touch and accuracy, so you may be right anyway. I think more important is his ability to see the middle of the field. I'm hoping that opens up TA and Higbeast for not only move the chains plays but big hitters on crossing routes.

Either way, I can't wait to see the kid play.
