I'd say Goff is a great/ borderline elite with protection, but under pressure that literally drops to very below average. And in the NFL you are under pressure a ton, he's seen pressure for 4 years now and has consistently been one of the worst in the NFL under pressure. Is that going to improve? Lets hope so, but maybe the front office shouldn't put a bunch of scrubs in front of him. Maybe we should actually invest 1st and 2nd round picks in elite o-lineman like the Cowboys so Gurley and Goff can do their thing. But no, lets let our star RB and franchise QB go to work everyday with a trash line. Its actually incredible Les hasn't made a fucking trade already for a star o-lineman. The Texans had to pony up for Tunsil, that seems to have been working well. We need to make a similar type trade happen.

Goff's making mistakes, reads and interceptions.
Yes, he could be doing better.

However, there are more factors involved, many more.
He is still the man and i have faith in him.

900 yards passing and 63 points in the last 2 games while the defense has given up 78 points in the same 2 games.
And we should be worried about Goff?

I'm not. Young QBs do this. He found his groove against Seattle. Here are a couple other interesting stretches from well-known QBs in their younger years:
QB A
10 games
219/358 61.2% 2540 yards 14 TDs 16 Ints 7.1 YPA 77.0 Passer Rating

QB B
11 games
200/354 56.5% 2060 yards 10 TDs 11 Ints 5.8 YPA 69.9 Passer Rating

Feel free to venture a guess who these QBs are.
QB A is Peyton Manning (2001 season). QB B is Tom Brady (end of 2002 through early 2003).

Honestly, I think Goff holds it long because our routes take time to develop. He needs more audibles and hot routes for the blitz, outside of that WR screen that the entire league knows that we like to do.

strange world we live in.

If GZ hits a 44 yd FG the Rams are the #1 scoring offense in the NFL among teams that haven’t played the Dolphins.

So the Rams are right on pace for the #1 or #2 offense for the third straight year in a row.

or to put it another way...

In Jared Goff’s first full 3 seasons he will have led the Rams to more points then any other QB in the NFL.

Mic drop.

If the Rams threw in the red zone, Goff would have had 40 last season, easy.

He’s played better in each game this year.

If your HC/OC drops you back 50+ times, you’ll turn the ball over some.

Everett should own the Seattle INT but Goff needs to be better with the ball, agreed.

Even so, Goff is becoming a beast.

Colin Cowherd says Goff is the only guy he isn't worried about on the Rams.

You said it all there . Any one of us could give our opinion and have the same success rate of being right and wrong . I refuse to watch Bayless anymore with all his Cowboy love . The show caters to him with 2 or 3 segments on the Cowgirls every day . It's nauseating

Yea, I don't watch ESPN or NFL Network (outside of the occasional 30 for 30), I don't watch pre-game, post game or halftime shows. I don't listen to Sports Talk Radio, or waste my time on any of it.

I realized about 20 years ago, that I don't ever learn anything from them. Since there is absolutely no value in it, why in the world was i dealing with the aggravation of it?

What are they going to tell me, that the team that wins the turnover battle will win? Or that this team needs to be successful on 3rd downs? or that they need to win the line of scrimmage? Does anybody learn anything from these idiots? Please Phil Sims, tell me your Phil-osofy, so I know what to watch for this game... GFY. I have better things to do with my time, like watching other football games, fishing, dropping a deuce... you get the picture. lol

Honestly, think about the last time you actually learned anything from any of these clowns. Is it worth listening to their nonsense, and being part of what is propping them up and paying their salary? To me it isn't. Not even close. Sorry folks, my rant is over.

OK, so my rant isn't quite over. lol

I used to feel like it made me a better fan to consume as much football as possible, but that crap isn't football. It is politics for sports fans. I realized that I would be a much better fan by watching more games, and learning more about defensive structures and alignments, offensive sets, etc. It it all out there on the internet, More than I can ever consume with my allotted football time. Now I am done. Have a great night all.

Exactly.

If QB rating was based on points rather than things out of his control like a coach calling a handoff at the goaline then Goff would be #1 over the course of the last 3 years.

Goff isn’t perfect but what’s he’s done this year with the lack of run game and Oline issues running for his life and still putting up 30 ppg is remarkable.

That number should grow with a lot of bottom feeder defenses on the schedule left to play.

He also tends to hang in the pocket too long, when he has pretty good mobility.
