I just worry about the slow starts

This, more than anything, has hampered the rams from playing the game they want to play.

The offense needs to start games better. Force the opposition to play catch up.

So you judge a QB's success solely by his QBR?

I get what you're saying but that was his passer rating.

QBR is a shit stat created by ESPN and only used by them now after all the other outlets realised how shit it was to rate qbs.

You literally have nothing to say do you? You called my 13 game sample “arbitrary” and now you respond with that?!

You keep putting words in my mouth and back it with nothing lol.

You want to argue with me because I feel like he is struggling. I don’t understand what you are trying to point out to me.

QBR, quarterback rating, passer rating, whatever-- all arbitrary numbers which people then apparently frame within an arbitrary time period to skew perception.

The guy has thrown for over 900 yards in 2 close games, and he almost brought the Rams back in both of them. Let's not cherry-pick our statistics. Goff is not the problem here.

To be fair you are cherry picking by selecting two games where he threw for 900 plus yards.

Both are games the Rams lost, and Goff had 5 turnovers leading to points for the other team that changed the outcome.

Goff has some blame on him, that cannot be denied.

FYI he is on pace to become only the second QB to throw over 700 passes in a season.

That's another problem IMO.

Going back to last year is misleading — he had five picks in one game against an elite defense.

You took the stats I posted and then comment on how Goff's passer rating isn't in the top 25. You completely missed the point, while simultaneously proving this "sky is falling" concern over Goff is based on a decline in his passing stats on paper and not his performance in game or the offense overall. Anyone concerned over Goff can't see the forest for the trees. Goff and Kupp have been practically the only bright spots for this offense this season, yet people are concerned about our quarterback. Lmao okay.

By all means, keep focusing on stats of an individual player from a unit of 11-- especially with our run game, offensive line, seemingly always playing from behind, etc etc.

I know the o-line is shaky, but that’s the way it goes sometimes. Any QB can look all-world with a solid o-line, Woods, Cooks, Kupp and Gurley. If the o-line is the sole issue (and it’s not), then two things need to happen. McVay has to adjust his scheme accordingly, and Goff has to make much better decisions.

McVay needs to work on that

Goff needs to work on that.

And for the love of all that’s holy, the defense needs to play far, far better. So you see, it’s not one person’s fault. It almost never is. Teams get hot when all 3 phases are clicking. Right now, all 3 are just kinda trying not to fuck up so much. Maybe they’re overcompensating, or maybe confidence is low. Whatever it is, something needs to happen to galvanize the team as a whole. Until then, there’s just gonna be finger pointing.

Well I hope your right and my concern is unwarranted.

I’m rooting for him have always been a Goff fan and still am.

Great! Another Goff sucks thread! Have said it many times... I'll take Goff over 2/3rds of the starting QB's out there.

I am worried about Goff too. His OL is playing poorly, and he is on a play action based offense that can't run the ball.

You know this thread title and topic is going to be the header and theme of somebody else's "what the other fans are saying" thread... lol.... plus the "I can't see how we beat the 49ers" posts will be really popular.

Honestly, some of you guys should stop listening to the talking heads. Your lives will be better without the noise and nonsense.

Lolz at all the hand wringing over a team that could very easily be 4-1 if not undefeated without even hitting their stride. Not saying there isn't room for improvement across the board, but the hyperbole here would almost be comical if it weren't so depressingly predictable ....

You said it all there . Any one of us could give our opinion and have the same success rate of being right and wrong . I refuse to watch Bayless anymore with all his Cowboy love . The show caters to him with 2 or 3 segments on the Cowgirls every day . It's nauseating
