The team has a super costly, immobile pocket passer, older worn-down & just spent half the season on the injured Reserve QB & we want McVay to spend funds on an aging often injured damaged wideout.

I’m not so sure what we saw of Allen Robinson and Stafford is what we will get next season. Stafford had very little off-season to get any kind of chemistry with him. There were many times that Stafford didn’t look at an open Robinson, due to pressure allowed by an injured Oline.

Agree with this, I remember seeing several videos of Robinson getting open a lot last year but our QBs were running for their lives or getting destroyed. Robinson isn't the player he once was, no one is after 10 years, but I think he can be another 800-1100 yard receiver and a touchdown machine in redzone if we tighten up our line play. It really sucks he got injured because it would have been nice to see him the back half of season when the line finally stabilized a little and wasn't atrocious and we got Baker.

Either way, I don't see how we sign OBJ unless it's a friendly deal. Robinson has a $26 million dead cap hit if we cut him this offseason with an out after 2023 so he'll be here for at least one more season. Van Jefferson is on a contract year and Skow/Tutu both showed some improvement last year. So many other players I'd rather spend the cap money on.

OBJ most certainly took a physical before joining the Rams last year as a mid season free agent.

No one will confuse Kupp or Robinson for speed receivers. The same goes for Skowronek. Atwell and Jefferson do have some speed to burn, though.

It’s just that they didn’t run nearly as many routes as someone like Kupp this season, so their speeds were weighted less in this exercise. Even with everyone healthy, the Rams could use some more speed at wide receiver in 2023.

It’s a good thing we never needed Cooper Kupp to get deep for a 70 yard TD or a 44 yard completion to set up a FG in a playoff game. He’s too slow to do that.
