And then it bounces off his hands. He put himself under it rather than to a side.
It did not hit both hands. It barely touched the left one.

You guys just like to complain.

Yeah looking at it again it touched the left hand but com on, what are you saying, he didn't fuck it up. I dont like complaining but that's a huge missed/dropped td. You can sugar coat it all you want but that's the bottom line.

LOL

I’m saying he made a good attempt on a ball that could have been placed a little better.

I think both guys could have been just a little bit better but I don’t expect it.

Cooper makes that catch. Obj makes that catch. Hell, Blanton makes that catch. It was a horrible attempt. He ran the route incorrectly, he positioned himself incorrectly. He let it go through/off his hands. I'm not trying to harsh on the guy but it is what it is; a bad, bad, attempt. If you say that's a good attempt by him then Matt shouldn't be throwing him the ball in those critical situations.

Jimmy G definitely deserves the blame. He wouldn't have been able to do shit in the 4th quarter because the Rams defense was on a different level. They raised the bar and shut the 9ers down and I think Jimmy G would have cost them even with another possession.

That final quarter really demonstrated the difference in these two teams. If the 9ers had traded for Stafford they would probably be here in our place. Jimmy G played his ass off and got lucky quite a bit but that well is gonna run dry at some point. The Rams basically moved the ball at will. That game was not really as at risk as it seemed IMO. Rams were not gonna allow that.

I remember Kupp dropping the ball in the Seattle game and fumbling in the Vikings game. It was his rookie year. No shame in not producing as good as you normally would as a rookie. Hell, Higbee struggled mightily as a rookie. Look at him now. Robert Woods wasn't the best rookie. It takes time. Hell, we could even use John Franklin-Myers, who struggled in his second year so badly he was cut. And look at him now: a great year and a great extension by the Jets.

That's why I think that Skowronek has plenty of time to shine. The fact that he's contributing this much in this year in the round we picked him in is fucking amazing.
Woods had a game this year ( Texans maybe?) where he dropped like 3 passes.

The defensive scheme was definitely more aggressive with more 5, 6, and 7 man fronts in assumed running plays while crowding the box with backers closer to the LOS. This is what many of us were calling for during the season and when Morris finally makes those adjustments, and it works, we're the bad guys and Morris was right all along.

So you know what the route was supposed to be now?

I doubt that.

You did see the Kupp dropped that he actually did get both hands on, I could post a picture of that too.

But not hitting both hands is on him not Stafford
Not if he was running a route that took him across the field and the throw went off line toward to the back side. Without knowing the call there is no way any of us know.

Just curious are you a Notre Dame fan?

Sure, kupp dropped a big one .....and that has what exactly to do with the the rookies drop in the endzone.

I'm guessing Stafford knew where his receiver should be over the rookie running the route too inside, yeah.

Don't know why you're so hell bent on trying to make it seem like it wasn't an egregious drop but since that's the way you feel, so be it. Case closed.

Saying case closed means Jack shit.

I’d bet all my Rams dollars they would both agree with me, they both could have done a little better on that play.

And you'd lose those ram dollars. If Stafford said anything to him it was how he should run the route differently. Just as any elite vet qb would help his rookie receiver get better.

Kupp dropped his pass because he took his eyes off and started running without the ball - oops - overaggressive

Skows drop was completely different. He got turned around while the ball was in the air.

I doubt OBJ and Kupp would have gotten turned around like that.

However, Rookies make mistakes like that and I foresee him doing better in the future

And I doubt we will ever see another game like that from him.

It was like he had eaten popcorn right before trying to catch those passes

On deep balls like that where the receiver is wide open, it's up to the receiver to track it, to position himself, not willy mays basket catch style, and bring it in with both hands. He did none of that. Stafford put it where he should have made the catch. That's all I'm going to say about this. Good day.
