I'm guessing Higs is ok because everyone changed the subjectSo I wonder how HIGBEAST is doing? I could have SWORN that was what this thread was about.

Definitely on Skow. Gotta catch that ball. Doesn't mean he can't catch. I remember in preseason there was lots of talk and concern about Jamaar Chase dropping all these balls. Pretty sure that worked out well.Gotta catch that.
Pretty sure he won’t practice until end of next week. If he is able to practice at all.So....Any word on Higbee? I see he was a DNP at the no practice
Garapolo is Garapolo but I give our D credit as you say for totally taking it to another level. So did the O, except for Stafford’s errant bomb attempt.Jimmy G definitely deserves the blame. He wouldn't have been able to do shit in the 4th quarter because the Rams defense was on a different level. They raised the bar and shut the 9ers down and I think Jimmy G would have cost them even with another possession.
That final quarter really demonstrated the difference in these two teams. If the 9ers had traded for Stafford they would probably be here in our place. Jimmy G played his ass off and got lucky quite a bit but that well is gonna run dry at some point. The Rams basically moved the ball at will. That game was not really as at risk as it seemed IMO. Rams were not gonna allow that.
Because it was the NFC championship game against our most despised rival? All wide receivers drop passes from time to time that they should catch, and we don’t keep holding it against them, or consider them a bad wide receiver. Otherwise there would be no good wide receivers. So why are we having this discussion?
Would we rather have 85% Big Rig Hig or 100% Kendall Blanton getting those snaps?Higbeast is gonna do everything in his power to be on that SuperBowl field. He'll most likely have a knee brace of some kind...but if he's 85%...HE'LL PLAY!!!
You can have both....double TE sets do get called.Would we rather have 85% Big Rig Hig or 100% Kendall Blanton getting those snaps?
Yes - I get that - but the question was meant for single TE sets. Because they do also get called. You can have both....double TE sets do get called.
Good question, I didn’t see any drop off with Blanton in there.Would we rather have 85% Big Rig Hig or 100% Kendall Blanton getting those snaps?
Me neither. In the back of my mind is Trent Williams who I think hurt the 9ers by trying to play when he shouldn’t have.Good question, I didn’t see any drop off with Blanton in there.
Well...of course Blanton will get the call if Higbee is not 100%.Yes - I get that - but the question was meant for single TE sets. Because they do also get called.
You mean, as opposed to all those players who'd not be doing everything in their power to play in the Super Bowl when their team makes it?Higbeast is gonna do everything in his power to be on that SuperBowl field. He'll most likely have a knee brace of some kind...but if he's 85%...HE'LL PLAY!!!
I don’t think that is a given. I mean - no one is 100% on either roster at this point in the year. And it’s not like we can really quantify anything - I guess the question I’m really asking is whether we want someone gutting it out to get on the field when they aren’t as fast - strong - quick as they normally are.Well...of course Blanton will get the call if Higbee is not 100%.
If it wasn't for all those lost fumbles the defense would have shut down Brady and the vaunted Bucs offense. I cringe when all these pundits fawn over Brady giving him credit for tying the game. It shoulda been a blowout if these guys hold onto the ball. It wasn't Brady. Stafford clearly outplayed him.Garapolo is Garapolo but I give our D credit as you say for totally taking it to another level. So did the O, except for Stafford’s errant bomb attempt.
Even so it felt to me that the game was at serious risk until AD and TH shut it down. Can’t ever take great plays or coming back from 10 down in the 4th for granted.
It depends on the player. Wouldn't you think? Higbeast is a player where his 85% is enough.I don’t think that is a given. I mean - no one is 100% on either roster at this point in the year. And it’s not like we can really quantify anything - I guess the question I’m really asking is whether we want someone gutting it out to get on the field when they aren’t as fast - strong - quick as they normally are.
I don’t know if that’s a Reggie Scott call or what. Does he just decide clear to play or not clear to play? Or are there layers of availability?
I agree it depends on the player - and on the player behind them. How much of a drop-off is there between player A and player B?It depends on the player. Wouldn't you think? Higbeast is a player where his 85% is enough.
I think so anyway.
You and I both know how tough Higbee is...and McVay seems to think it's possible. There's still another week to go.I agree it depends on the player - and on the player behind them. How much of a drop-off is there between player A and player B?
It will be interesting to see how it gets handled. I kind of have my doubts that we will see Higbee in the big game, myself.
