I have to imagine that Skow also didn't really think the ball was going to come his way on that play and was caught off guard when Stafford actually threw it
He should be thinking it's coming his way every single time he's on the field and running a route.

But Skow needs to locate the ball and get himself into better position. He made it more awkward than it could have been.
HaHa, I was kinda saying that above without saying it directly. He had his head around and split the CB & Safety just like he should.
He just didn't track it exactly right and his late adjustment made it harder. For a first year developmental WR I have been pleased. The game will slow down and his ability to recognize, read and react will get much easier.

Rookie move imo. He'll get better and it shows how smart the guy is that as a rookie they're putting him out there as much as they do. Just his misfortune that we're so stacked at WR.

Glad to hear this isn't super serious. Really hope he works his way back for the SB, if not I think Blanton showed enough to make a difference if he's called upon. He really impressed yesterday.

Yes. In the last game of the regular season in the 9er loss.

Taylor Rapp was our starting safety all season with Jordan Fuller but has not been active for any of the 3 playoff wins in which the Rams won with Reserve Safety Nick Scott replacing him.

I would not change the 2 main safeties for the last 3 gms for the big SB game. I would hope that both safties Rapp & Burgess will be available in a reserve capacity.

I agree. Don't change what's working!

Shoot.....I ain't worried about losing Higbeast. We still got the Tutu Atwell of the 2020 draft, Brycen Hopkins!
Uhh....is he still in the building somewhere?

I've been calling him Higs. My (older) HS friends get a kick out of that because that was the nickname of a girl classmate we knew, taken from her last name too.

If he makes that catch, the same people who are criticizing him would likely be saying how he made a catch that few WR could make.
Glad it didn’t come back to bite us.
Would have loved to have seen him make that catch, he made several amazing grabs at ND. But for sure there is a huge difference between getting 2 hands on it and hitting him in the hands

It was not as easy as a catch as people make it out to be.

But it should be caught.

I would have caught that shit!

Let's hope that Higbeast makes it back! (Yes, my nickname for him is "Higbeast". No, I am not ashamed to say it.)

I meant in Kupp's first season where he dropped the ball quite often. Not compared to now.

I remember Kupp dropping the ball in the Seattle game and fumbling in the Vikings game. It was his rookie year. No shame in not producing as good as you normally would as a rookie. Hell, Higbee struggled mightily as a rookie. Look at him now. Robert Woods wasn't the best rookie. It takes time. Hell, we could even use John Franklin-Myers, who struggled in his second year so badly he was cut. And look at him now: a great year and a great extension by the Jets.

That's why I think that Skowronek has plenty of time to shine. The fact that he's contributing this much in this year in the round we picked him in is fucking amazing.

Every player will tell you if it hits you in the hands you should catch the ball. I get it was a tough one but yeah he should have caught it. Don't think less of the rookie either way.
