Yep I couldn't believe it because his hands have been so good over the years. They say year 3 is the year WR's start to turn the corner and I hope so because I thought we got a real steal in the draft with Van but to be truthful he's been a little bit of a disappointment this season. And I doubt we will ever see another game like that from him.
It was like he had eaten popcorn right before trying to catch those passes
The defensive scheme was definitely more aggressive with more 5, 6, and 7 man fronts in assumed running plays while crowding the box with backers closer to the LOS. This is what many of us were calling for during the season and when Morris finally makes those adjustments, and it works, we're the bad guys and Morris was right all along.
(speaking of tangents)Jaquizi Tartt says hello
What? 802yds, 6tds for a WR3. For reference he's 31st in yards for a receiver. Sure he can can improve his game, hands especially, but I wouldn't call this year disappointing.Yep I couldn't believe it because his hands have been so good over the years. This thread is a classic example of tangential discussions.
I wonder how Higbee is doing…
How many drops? He had a 3 or 4 game stretch where he probably dropped 5 or 6 passes. Some would have been difficult catches but still very catchable. Something else he does is if a deep ball is under thrown he'll just stand there and watch it go right into the hands of the defender instead of trying to break up the play. His hands have been a lot better the last part of the season and the playoffs. What? 802yds, 6tds for a WR3. For reference he's 31st in yards for a receiver. honestly I guessed at his first name(speaking of tangents)
How is that pronounced Ja kwa ski ?
According to this site, all sites have different definitions, Jefferson has 6. Another site has him at 5 That might be low by a few, but a 3 to 4 game stretch of 5+ drops is a gross exaggeration, that's double every reciever in the league. How many drops? So Stafford threw 1 INT while targeting Jefferson. It seems too short for Jefferson to try and break up the play, doubt he thought it was going to be that short. Definetly wasn't "just standing there". I have three good friends who are Dirty Niner fans. The two I’ve talked to both put it on Jimmy G.I have a friend who is a big 9ers fan (I know, I know - shame on me). He tells me that the sentiment among his friends is that - yeah, Tart dropped an easy INT, but the 9ers had the ball 2 more times after that and went nowhere with it. They are putting this game squarely on Jimmy G - and to a lesser but real extent on Kyle S.

Again Jefferson can, and hopefully will, improve going into next season but I don't get or agree with this take.
