Well, in a 4-3 you play 3 LBers, in a 33 nickle you play 3 LBers, maybe it's the DBs they want to see, being in nickle entire game

IF you noticed early on, they were playing a lot of 3-4 sets. They had Bates, Armstrong Steward and Wilson on the field at the same time.

And they call the 3 DL and 3 LB their "30 Nickel"...Williams is constantly yelling out personnel groupings and he calls this "30 , 30, 30"
