I missed seeing his last two extra points. If they looked good then I think they keep going with him. McVay sounded positive but,he always does...

Nothing he kicked today looked that good.

I think you have to. Or at least have another kicker visit this week and see how he does

I get creative with the 53 for 1 week, bring in another kicker ALL WEEK and bring both vs San Fran...

The dude is absolutely horrible. There isn’t one better option than him?

He’s going to cost a playoff game for sure.

I bet they stick with him but a vet who has played in a playoff game would of been nice

Unless our special teams staff works some magic, we're in trouble. It doesn't look like he's mentally capable at this level.

ok, so say the team brings in more kickers this week and give Fickens confidence a shot to the nut sack

and then it turns out they don't find anyone better

how do you think that conversation going on between Fickens ears will sound like next week against SF

I give him another chance at the Whiners game. It's not like we're going to lose much by playing him. Who knows? Maybe he bounces back in a big way?

Well Ficken worked out the jitters and overcame them. He looked better as the game progressed. That, in and of itself, is worth something. I’d say unless we know we have a better solution, we see how it goes against SF. I’d give Ficken as much work as possible in that game and in practice to get him feeling comfortable in situ. We need to see how he handles the situational stress. We need to see if Ficken is chicken (sorry). If he chokes in our next game, we should probably replace him IMHO. We only have one game to get him ready for playoffs.

Sorry I would cut him nothing looked straight and his kickoffs are that good either. I really thought Garrett Hartley would have been the guy to sign because his leg strength was always very good, but at this point I want a veteran because Ficken did not look confident IMHO.

Unfortunately I agree with this.

He did not have one “straight true” kick. All of the ones I saw had a slice.

(And I missed watching his first xp attempt, which sounded horrible.)

Ficken showed me nothing today, so I would vote for coons or carpenter. Slim pickens out there I know.
