Ramsey wants his buddy to be a Ram, nothing wrong with that.

Also, with Ramsey speaking out about this, does it shows the level of what other Rams players think of Goff, or the lack of confidence they have in him?
Until we hear things from other players, we don’t know. I doubt that Ramsey speaks for every player on the Rams.

The Ramsey/Hopkins hour long ProBowlVersus episode was Thursday night. I watched the full episode and Ramsey on TWO different occasions talked about Watson. One time he said "you know where he'll be next year, in LA." The second comment was "my future QB is about to follow me out here to Los Angeles." All this came 3 days after Ramsey commenting on Watsons Instagram with a post that said "looks like a LA man to me."

Kellermans alleged comments and the tweet that guy sent went out yesterday (Friday) afternoon at 2:11pm PST. But no where in ANY of Ramsey's comments did he say anything about a veto. Or Watson vetoing a trade to anyone but the Rams. He said nothing of the sort.

So why would Kellerman just make that part up? If he was commenting on what Ramsey said the day before, why not say something along the lines of "Jalen Ramsey is very confident the Rams will land Watson." Or.. "it appears the Rams are in the running for Watson now." He specifically said Watson "will veto" any trade not to the Rams, and that did not come from Ramsey's comments the previous day.

Man, regardless of your feelings on any of this, those are some pretty cold comments to make during the season with regards to what it says about your current QB you are hoping leads you into the playoffs. Imagine being Goff and hearing that from the sidelines. Yuck.

If this goes down we winning SUPER BOWLS and yes that's plural :D

WE.ARE.THE.RAMS.

If this goes down, we have no future draft for 5 more years, Watson blows one or both of bad ACLs in his first game, we lose McVay and Snead after comfortably going back to our annual 3-13 seasons.

Hard pass.

It appears some in here are still underestimating the leverage Watson has here. With the no trade clause he can force his way to any team he wants and as a star QB he essentially has the same power that a superstar NBA player has when dictating where they want to go. Houston can delay all they want but it's only going to reduce their compensation for him. If Watson wants out, he's going to get out and it's going to be to a team where he wants to be.

WFT tried that with Trent Williams. They came off as assholes. He still left which they said they didn’t want. They got much less for him than if they’d just traded him...AND they came off like assholes across the league where you know some guys are like “yeah, never going there”.

Could the Texans do that? Yes.

However, as much as I don’t put doing something so galactically stupid past them, they’ve already put a price on Watson...3 1st rounders as the starting point.

Reminds me of that joke (it’s a bit mysogynistic, but bear with me):

Guy in a bar asks this beautiful woman sitting next to him, “will you sleep with me for $1 million?” She looks at him and says “okay.” He takes a drink and says, “will you sleep with me for $1?” She recoils. “What do think I am?”

He says, “we know what you are. Now we’re just negotiating price.”

We know he’s leaving. We’re just negotiating price. And Snead has a penchant for paying very large prices.

Texans already look like and are the dumbest org in sports right now. They couldn't and shouldn't care less if they come out as assholes.

In fact, I think thats exactly what they should do. Look like assholes, but stand your ground and don't cave in to your butthurt player.

The team trading for him is getting him for Jimmy G. money. It's a bigger issue for us than it is for other teams. Goff has much better trade value than people think.
I really hope your right about that Trade Value cause the way Snead and McV have been talking, doesn't look good for him here..jmho

Not surprising one bit. What a lot are not realizing is that he (Watson) might not own the boat or control the sails but he is controlling the helm of where this will end up.

It's what I been sayin' yo!!!

We gonna pay through the freaking nose, but we getting Deshaun Watson.

Don't be surprised if we send 4 1st rounders plus our 2nd this year for Watson.

I think the Lions connection will be about the Lions trading for Goff.

I think the Lions want the 9ers first (and they are resisting mightily by offering multiple 2nd and 3rds) so that they can in turn send their lower 1st to the Rams for Goff.

Or the Rams could look to Indy or Washington. I feel pretty comfortable because while there are draftable QBs at the top, and there seems to be a glut of journeyman type QBs out there, there's no one close to a QB with Goff's resume. And if you're Frank Reich, you GOTTA think you can fix/rehab someone with Goff's tools.

The Rams then turn that 1st, the 2nd, and the 1sts from 2022, 2023 and 2024 with a conditional pick in 2024 which could be as much as a 2nd if we win the Super Bowl in 21, 22, or 23.
Man I been reading the Rea leaves along with you but think no way it costs us 4 1’s for Watson. It’s been reported Watson doesn’t want to go to a team that isn’t a decent yo good contender and doesn’t want to harm the team long term from the trade ( picks and/or players) Thinking he has leverage on the particulars of a trade as well because of that ‘veto’ power. This truly seems like a perfect storm.
I agree mostly (not for boxing, but for most other things), but he's relaying what Jalen Ramsey said. This isn't one of those "anonymous sources"

And if Kellerman is lying, Ramsey would straight up call him out and he'd look super bad. Ramsey is a named source for this.

So, either Ramsey is going all in on the recruiting or he's telling the truth.

I think Ramsey's telling the truth.

Also, about all those "lists" of the "best spots for Watson" how is it that NONE of them have the Rams when we have McVay and it's clear that Goff is on the outs?

Have we not shown we'll deal tons of 1sts for players we think are worth it? What are they thinking?
Exactly, Kellerman is spot on in regards to boxing and pretty damned good with MMA but other sports he has a lot to be desired. This I take with a grain of salt from him but the meat of it I think has some substance.

Everyone is creaming themselves about the no trade clause watson has .... no I don’t know the wording of said clause ... but it seems he has officially asked to be traded .(now it’s Houston and they aren’t the brightest bunch) .. but I’d like to think the org might be smart enough to have some exemptions in that contract like if you ask us to trade you .. then we get some say in where you go

Kind of but it's a no trade clause so in essence if your let's say the bears and you are going to give up all this draft capital possible players but Watson doesn't want to play there. All he has to do is voice that like I don't want to play for the bears. And then his agent can leak out info creating turmoil amongst the bears.
Basically then if your the bears you stop and think do we want to give up all this for a guy that doesn't want us. Also the accquiring team is picking up Watson and his contract so they also then get stuck with a no trade clause.

Last thing is this can get real ugly real quick actually even uglier I should say. If Watson leaks out to media he wants to be a ram it will tighten the screws that much more and give leverage to the rams or whatever team he desires that's a death card. Houston needs to think it over real good how far they want to go here. If Watson wants out bad enough he should answer the phone and say there is no mending fences there is no ground to be gained I want out end of discussion.

1 ... now could you answer my question
Sure he may not have any super bowl wins but his coaches have been shit and he still put up top 5 stats which is night and day compared to what Goff was putting up with Fisher. You add in McVay and you bet your ass that will elevate Watsons game to the next level. Its amazing how many people discount the McVay effect on Jared Goffs development.

Complements these days mean that the folks not receiving them means implies that they're inferior. Happens in the workplace too

How about the effect on Jared's play the last two seasons? Does McVay have any effect on that, or only on the parts where Goff did good?

The McVay blame here is insane man. People want to point the finger..OL, McVay etc. Don't you think there's a chance Goff is just an average QB? That his best two years came with an elite supporting cast and top 5 OL?

And now hes making $35M per year no longer on his rookie deal, and its impossible to surround him with that talent again? You act like McVay doesn't know what he's doing. Why would he want to trade Goff if he thought he was a great player??

2018 he was way above average so what changed since then. Other than a fast WR a major downgrade at 2 OL positions and 34 game day threads of people pissed off at McVay for his playcalling for all or part of those games.

Also we don't know yet if he's trading Goff there's a lot of rumors that it might happen but we won't know for over a month.

So much passion about a theoretical. It’s such a long shot, almost not worth considering. We may trade Jared, but I doubt it’s for Watson. The Wolfy era has begun...

I can't see fans returning so-fi officially opening and the Superbowl being held in LA and the rams headline with Wolfy???
Even Stafford doesn't make it appealing lol but Watson changes everything. I said this yesterday to Stan will eat that money on goff he would probably make that back just on Watson apparel sold lol.

Technically 3 OL changes. We had 3 lineman playing at a pro-bowl level. And the line graded out as top 5. 3 years younger Whitworth who made the pro bowl, Saffold was a monster who should have, and Sulivan was an ex-pro bowl center.

Throw in a healthy Cooks and the best RB on planet earth who scored 40 TDs in two seasons. 40 TDs. Think about that number. Gurley averaged 20TDs a season for those two years.

That's why you have to take advantage of your shot when you get it. With Goff making $35M now there's no way we give him that surrounding talent again. And you cant have a $35M player under performing you just cant.
