Why any public figure would go for anything or bring anyone into their atmosphere without witnesses or cameras etc is beyond me.
How a young, well known guy is supposed to get laid now is beyond me.
Of course, unless he’s guilty.....that would certainly explain the lack of witnesses etc.
There is a reason famous men go to prostitutes.

if he was doing this is was reckless... but it isn't so simple for these guys. Sure a lot of women want to have sex with them.. but it's just a catch 22 for them a lot of the times. Especially in the world of social media. That is why some of them go to call girls, ect - because they know its more likely just a business then someone wanting something more out of it.

Nope. All too often, the false accusers get off.

Again, I'm a "believe her" person. It takes a LOT for me to move off my spot on this.

There is MORE than enough to move me from my spot on this one.

But I wouldn't expect the attorney or the accusers to experience any sanctions.

And part of that is good... you don't want actual victims to be further victimized if the system fails them (or if the system locally is corrupt... ask any abused wife of a cop... getting justice is damn near impossible).

But still, false accusations are one of the few crimes that are tough to prosecute and generally due to DAs being elected, the politics of prosecuting a woman who maintains her victimhood is just...problematic. And let's not even get into men who've been raped (how? it's called GHB... women rape men a lot more than is believed. We also used to think women rarely cheated in relationships... the data shows they cheat slightly MORE than men... so it's clear we have more to learn)

Anyway, you can bet that this will go on and the atty will attempt to keep this high profile until after the draft... once that happens, if he's not traded, bet that this goes away... and by the start of the season, if Watson is playing, it will disappear as if it never happened.

operative word in my statement was "seemed" squeeky clean. I was 4-5 years old when OJ played at USC. Even though I lived in LA until 1975-76, I didn't read much besides Cat in the Hat and the sports scores. No gossip or crap like that. I lived in Houston area in the late 70's when sports news was very regional. I lived on 3 line box scores about the Rams for a few years. When he was in Buffalo, I didn't hear much about him except when he broke 2000 yards. I never heard sports interested adults talk about OJ and I didn't read magazines if they spoke about his faults. When I saw him after that was on Hertz commercials and on Monday Night Football and the couple of movies he was in. So to me from that perspective, he seemed clean. Your experience differs.

Yeah, my mom kinda looked like Nicole (which is probably why he liked her. He had a thing for blondes) and I got to get the inside skinny.

There's a LOT that folks don't know about him. He was a mess in the worst ways.

Either that or a lot of gold diggers have come out of the woodwork.

.
Let's just say, for the sake of argument, that there's a hundred girls in the Houston area that have worked at massage parlors.

I bet they could come up with somewhere between 3 and 9 girls who would like to get in on this lawsuit.

Let's stop pretending like we have ANY idea of what's actually going on here.

Because we don't.

And they all colluded with similar stories before approaching legal representation, right? I get what you're saying, but usually where there's smoke, there's fire.

Sad. If true. I don't know the legal side that well in terms of predicting how this will potentially affect Deshaun.

I also do not assume this is true or not true. I like to let the evidence fully play out.

But on the subject of IF he did it. How sad is it that someone could have millions upon millions and all the fame in the world but not have foresight to know this type of sexual predator behavior is not only abhorrent and wrong but it could possibly destroy your entire career and reputation permanently.

Again, not saying its true. But if it is, how can someone even consider this type of deviant behavior.

It just blows my mind. Even if you can't restrain yourself for the right reasons (impact to the women) why can't you at least restrain yourself for selfish reasons (career, reputation etc.)?

Doesn't the NFL hold annual sessions on sexual misconduct? Does a players ego get so big that he believes he's invincible?

If you need your unit stroked why not ask the lady for a booty call or spank the dam monkey yourself?

I don't get it. I'm actually mainly really sad for the guy. His story of where he came from and what he was able to accomplish, and to end like this? Hope to God it's not true.

The thing is, his girlfriend is Fucking hot as. Why would he need to do this other shit?

Do young guys stay with women if they're not having sex frequently?

AFAIK, there's no allegation that Watson lied or misrepresented what he wanted out of Plaintiff.
Just throwing it out there, but what if it started like a consensual Kraft deal, and then it just, um, got out of hand?

Thing is... I'm about as far left as anyone on this forum. I'm a STAUNCH advocate for #believeher and #metoo. I've engaged in amplifying the voices of women including women who stayed (which is a whole other bit of fuckery... "why do they stay"... "because he'll kill me if I leave" was the number one answer and many women have the bullet and knife wounds to back that up, unfortunately)

This whole thing troubles me because it seems like such a nakedly brazen extortion attempt.

Is it possible he did it? Sure, of course. If we haven't learned that anyone is capable of anything by now, then... I dunno.

Is it more likely that in the midst of this contentious contract negotiation that an attorney who's a former neighbor of Bob McNair and also a super sketchy politico decided to do a bit of legal shenanigans and filed lawsuits alleging these acts in civil court to prevent any trade? Is it more likely that in this environment of cancellation as a result of accusation that these powerful folks are sending a message? The women haven't been identified afaik and the lawsuits can be rescinded at any time.

And I totally wouldn't be surprised if Jack Easterby wasn't somehow involved in this.

Yeah but did you read the other complaint? “I want you to suck me until my head cages in” Watson stated while closing his eyes and using the force to coerce a sexual encounter.

I dunno about Texas, but in many jurisdictions, you can file these civil suits with a "Jane Doe" designation so that they are protected.

I know in states where DV, rape and sexual assault are crimes against the state (put in place to remove requiring the victim as a witness and the revictimization of survivors by allowing the rapist/assaulter to "confront their accuser"), often these proceed with a woman retaining counsel and then filing a civil lawsuit but forwarding any discovery to allow for a criminal proceeding to happen first. Saves the lawyer a ton of money as the State would have to prosecute with a much higher burden of proof. If convicted, a civil trial verdict is almost a fait accompli and typically after the civil suit is filed, they immediately go into settlement negotiations.

I dunno about Texas, but I don't think they're a state that has that.

It really does seem like a scam.

That said, even though everything seemingly points to shenanigans by sketchy, sus lawyers, he may have done it. And if he did, he deserves whatever's coming to him.

The problem is that if this is shenanigans, then they only need to drag this out for a few months. Really, they have until the draft. Once the draft is over, based on his salary for 2022, the compensation for him dips dramatically. Not to mention that his rep would be tainted FOREVER.

I hope it's not true because I don't want to see even one more victim. That's #1 by far.

I hope it's not true because this seems 100% out of character. I don't care about the football impact. As a person, seems out of character.

I hope it's not true because it makes 100% sense that this is extortion rather than a young man literally throwing away more than $100M for a couple of handies and non-consensual bj.

It doesn't help that between Jack Easterby and the lawyer that this whole thing makes more sense as a machination with all sorts of really shitty things to unpack as opposed to Watson being a serial assaulter.

bruh this is America and it’s run by bankers and lawyers. It’s sue happy and you can literally sue for anything.

In general I’m more in the middle when it comes to things like this but this smells of bullshit from the get go. Like a straight up money grabber the longer this goes by.

Obviously if he did anything unlawful he should be punished but I’m sure he’d have more serious charges because of the review by the DA’s Dept. I guess it’s a wait and see thing as always.

The same way they said Kobe Bryant raped that girl back in the day.. then during the investigation it came out she had 4 different semen DNAs inside of her. It's so easy to go after a professional athlete or celebrity. The allegation itself is the damaging part, whether or not its true or not the public often just clings to the allegations. Which is why the celebs are quick to settle in court and pay them off to get it over with. It's just sad af. Sexual assault is a serious thing and the power women yield to accuse a man is pretty crazy. Even if there's zero evidence and it's just her word against his, it's still very likely to impact his public perception and bank account. Crazy world we live in. The timing of this just stinks to me.

Coercion isn't just verbal persuasion and rape isn't just physical force. I'm not telling you anything (altho what your alluding to has been brought forth allegedly) other than the fact that there's a word for coercing someone to blow you. Jesus christ.
