Without knowing the terms of the deal I will withhold judgment. But considering his age you know he's not running a 4.3 anymore. Probably in the mid 4.4 range at best. Also, as mentioned his injury history is also a concern. I see him strictly as a rotational #4 WR so I hope he's getting paid like one.

Put me down as wait and see but not overly excited.

Rams probably will draft a speed guy, but a rookie is not going to step right in to McVay's offense. Jefferson didn't, and he was about as pro ready as anyone since Kupp. With our dead cap space imo Jackson is the best threat we can get right now.
Yeah tell me about it. That dead cap definitely restricts what we can and can't do.

He's gotta stay healthy of course But I didn't know he was still this kind of burner:

More 60+ yard TDs than anyone in this history of the NFL. Yea he's still a burner, he'll go to his grave with that speed. If he can stay healthy (there's good reason to think he can in LA under McVay) he will be a legit threat for us deep.

limited snaps should help him. I mean how many times are we going to go for a wide anyway? And it'll be hard to believe that Jefferson's just going to ride the pine again.

Also worth emphasizing again the McVay connection from three years together in Washington:

McVay knows exactly what he's getting and exactly what to do with Jackson.

Yup limited snaps will help for sure, plus as some others have said dont discount how much different your body feels playing in nice SoCal weather versus Philly. It makes a big difference on soft tissue type injuries, and DeSean has battled hamstring injuries the last few years which hopefully improves in LA. But I agree I think Jefferson still plays a major role because DJax wont be playing full snaps, they should rotate at the Z.

They can say that all they want but putting a 34 year old severely injury prone WR back to return punts is about the worst idea I can think of if they want to actually use him on offense. But maybe he can help coach a kid up to do the job.

Almost certainly we will draft another speed type WR in the middle rounds. I have a hunch this guy will have return experience too and will be the guy on special teams. Doesn't make sense to risk Djax's health back there (y).

Alleluia!!! We have a genuine, bonafide Warp Five specialist! DJack will allow Robert, Cooper, Van, & our TEs & RBs to exploit the short to intermediate routes with relative comfort since defenders have little choice but to respect Jackson's long speed.

We still need a solution at C to allow those long routes sufficient time to develop. However, since the Horns are in win now! mode, I expect McSnead has ideas for shoring up & backing up the starting OL. Emphasis must! be placed on upgrading Cam, Darrell, & (perhaps) Xavier Jones pass blocking skills as it wouldn't do to allow these guys to get the new franchise QB killed with subpar awareness & technique.

Last year's Revenge of the Leprechaun! theme has been extended to the upcoming season now that Sean has a veteran QB with the skillset to allow him to open up the entire McVay offense.

I'll like this signing until he gets hurt, which has an over/under of week 4.

Jackson has missed 28 games of the last 48 and 13 games in his career due to hamstring injuries.

Sportsinjurypredictor.com has Jackson at a 99% chance of injury and missing 12.6 games this season.

Hopefully hes a significant contributor and has some tips for the youngsters but I'd rather van and any rookies get mentoring from woods and cooper at this point.

I like that idea, depending on how much they actually want him to play
