You don't trade away a franchise qb, 2 1st rounds and a 3rd for qb and not win a sb. Goff had the rams in the sb if Stafford is better he should win one with the rams. If all ppl are expecting is " offensive dominance" with no sb then you needs to have higher expectations. We won a lot of games and playoff games with Goff. I expect sb wins with Stafford.

LOL. I had to listen. No one knew, let alone cared, to know who John Johnson, Troy Hill, and Michael Brockers are. Now they are significant losses and represent 11 guys.

First mistake is listening to a video with Meshaun in it.
If we don't win the Super Bowl the offseason will be trolled with "guess the trade was a failure" type takes. Hell the Rams themselves said the goal was to win the Super Bowl. So not much else to say there. That's why they traded the QB they had invested all that time and money into. To upgrade the position and get a real shot to win it all.
But for me the next three years are significantly upgraded in terms of our Championship hopes. So way I see it the move itself will pay off in that way and I could give a fuck what the talking heads call this trade. I'm a happy fan and can't remember the last time I felt this confident about this team.
Only concern is the defense for me. I want to see how Morris does his thing. Atlanta was a mixed bag so I remain cautious there.

I honestly feel if we can overcome any major injuries we are NFCG bound. Whatever happens after that idk.

Talk about idiots talking about a team they know nothing about. No secondary anymore? Ramsey and Williams have been acknowledged as one of the top CB tandems in the NFL. Johnson is a better than average safety but he lacked sideline to sideline speed. He looked good last year because of the scheme Staley played, which catered to his strengths, not his weaknesses. Johnson didn't look as good under Wade Phillips' more conventional 3-4 hybrid scheme. They still have Fuller and Rapp and Burgess who is a clear upgrade to Johnson. Hill lost his job to Williams and like Johnson was scheme limited. Now they have Rochell with better speed, length and overall athleticism. This secondary is BETTER than last year's version.
On the DL with Robinson a 3 down NT and Hollins a good bookend for Floyd the DL is also better this year. As far as the scheme is concerned if Morris simply plays a more conventional 3-4 hybrid scheme which he knows quite well this is a top 5 D simply due to the level of talent it has. They ignore as do most that Tampa's D was ranked 6th overall last year and was more than enough to win a Lombardi.
Winning a Lombardi is a team effort. These guys seem to ignore that. Stafford is one piece of the puzzle, an important piece but as shown by his time in Detroit that without a team around him his efforts were wasted. One thing that was right is that Stafford is McVay's guy while Jared never was. Yep no excuses Sean, your whipping boy is gone. That Super Bowl loss isn't wasn't on Goff. Anyone who watched it saw that McVay and his staff got outcoached.
My advice to these morons is to know the team you are talking about before you open your mouths. Also, the Niners have the second best team on both sides of the ball in the NFCW. If they had Wilson as a QB they would still have the second-best roster because their D isn't as good as the Ram's. IMO the speed on the Rams will surprise the Niners this year. The Niners beat up on a Ram roster slower across the board. Now the Rams are faster than the Niners and we all know speed kills. Lance is at least a 2-year project. Even if he plays this year, he won't be ready to contend before 2023 IMO. But by then all these fast Ram rookies will be seasoned vets so the Niners will still be playing roster catchup.

He is also a math genious. They have Donald and Ramsey and then 10 new guys on defense. I didn't know the defense could have 12 players on the field. If so, the Rams have been giving everyone a huge advantage.

His reasons (the whole defense is new, etc.) were weak and inaccurate arguments.
That was a late throw. Brandin Cooks was wide open and Jared was late. But it did hit Brandin in the hands and to quote Torry Holt if it touches your hands you better catch it. But it shouldn't have been as difficult as it was. Doesn't get that much easier than that in NFL.

I hope teams sleep on this defense. I'm glad a lot of talking heads are saying what they are about this "depleted" defense. Put a chip on Ramsey, Donald and Floyd's shoulders. Just what the rest of the NFL wants right? Having said that, Merlin makes a good point. Morris needs to do a good job....or not screw up what they already have.
On this team getting to or having to win the Superbowl, I agree...that's the goal. That's why they've done what they've done. That's why they do what they do. It's not like years past when .500 or 9-7 was the goal. Every team has that goal in July but real contenders implement that goal the second their season is over. The Rams didn't waste any time once the final gun sounded. And like some others have said in the past, "they're not 'all in' this year. They're All In every year".
Agree, but we do have to resign him first. And would add it's about the rest of AD's career too-- he's the biggest factor in making the Rams a potential championship team.

My observation is that if they trailed late Goff either had a bad start or made some big mistakes.
I like your optimism but to say Burgess is an upgrade over Johnson is based on what? We barely saw Burgess play. We haven’t seen Rochell play at all either. I prefer to see some evidence before touting rookies as upgrades over very good NFL players.
