WTF? I should be the leader of this thread! @ScotsRam  :ROFLMAO:

So many people were worried about Kupp going, never gave it a second thought. That being said I’m pretty positive JJ is a goner for sure, Whit will be gone, so will Brown, and Everett. Probably Ebukam to.
Going to have to draft for all those other positions for 2-3 years to get out from this close to the cap.

Glad he’s going to stay, Van is a perfect Third WR for the starters and 4-5 before he needs to be paid to.

Any guesses as to salary? I'll throw $15M per year. That's about TY Hilton and Diggs money and more than Adams.

This one I’m a bit worried about. Kupp has already had injury issues every single year. So a LT for him at big dollars is concerning after the cooks/TG contracts. I hope we get Kupp at a value but last 3-4 years history tells me that won’t be the case. I’m just not sure big money on WRs makes sense for this team under McVay. We’ll see - I hope my Kupp concerns turn out to be unfounded.

I like Jalen and Kupp, heck of players. But when no one knows WTF next years Cap is Hello.

I know Cap,numbers can be moved etc etc but when you don't have any idea what the numbers could be walking forward it's a gamble a Big 1.

Where do the Rams get the cap space from? He has a low salary this year. They have to give him a big signing bonus that would greatly increase this year's cap hit. Should be interesting.

I think it only starts to count on the cap after this contract runs out. but they get the bonus for signing.

I don't see why it can't be done. It will be structured similarly to Jalen's I'm sure. Gurley's dead cap will be gone in 2022 opening up another $8.8M. That said Kupps market value is a lot farther above what he's currently earning. His market value will be around $17M per year. I see 2020 and 2021 as the restricted cap year with things returning to normal cap-wise in 2023. So it's the structure and guaranteed money that will be important.

Floyd and Ebukam will wait until next year until there is clarity on what the cap will be and estimated to be going into the future. But I think they will lay the groundwork before the end of the season, I just don't see anyone signing until after the season.

I just can't imagine Kupp playing elsewhere. As to the injury history, well, he put up ridiculous numbers over time in college (holds the FCS record with 6,464 yards) so tbh he's more a fuckin badass than anything else.

did you see that horse collar tackle by that fucking germ stewart? kupp was lucky his legs didn't snap in half.

can't hold that against kupp.

To get Kupp signed...My thinking is we will have to adjust Goff or Donald's Contract and push that money to 2022.

I show 8M cap space for 2021 and that is before the Ramsey signing so not sure how that even works.

For 2022 I showed 98 million cap space per Spotrac.

I aint no capologist so maybe someone can figure it out.
