Agreed I too think this defense has improved over last year. Barron and Joyner were major disappointments and they have been upgraded. Having David Long will be big considering Talib's injury history. People ignore that this team was without both their starting CBs for weeks. Name another defense that would have graded out high if that happened to them. Wade was forced to play zone most of the time something he doesn't like to do.

Suh was great in the playoffs but basically so so during the season. I think people assume too much about not having Suh. They will have Fowler the entire season, that alone will make a big impact.

And the Rams were about 2 plays away, maybe three, from drilling the freaking Patties.

F this guy

It is funny how Brady played his worst game but no one even talks about a blue print for beating him because they won.

well... this is the 3rd year together. I guess that dispels the one year wonder theory... ;)

By that standard, the current Cowboys are zero year wonders. Or have you forgotten the stomping last January? Oh, the score tightened late in the game, but never really got close, but anybody who knows anything about football knows that the Cowboys should have just stayed home that day - and played like it.
You must be new here.

The good ol’ days haven’t passed. Mayfield.

BTW, how do I put this all in blue font?
Love every word....miss reading our prose... :)

All true.....My only thought is this: Can Noteboom run block well enough, and pick up stunts? IF he can do both, our offense will be better this year....if he can't,we can still be a top 5-8 offense.
Teams abused the "A" gap is true! NOt everything that clown wrote in that article is wrong....camp report says Noteboom had a weak punch compared to the other O line guys....maybe he is weak as he looked on film (to me) in college....that might be a problem...but Noteboom has great feet and intelligence....and maybe Evans and J Demby are just as good to be honest

Noteboom will be fine in the run game. They run a outside zone with a horizontal concept. In that scheme it's up to the RB to have the vision to see the holes created by defenders out of position. Joe is big and strong with good feet. All he has to do is if he's covered to move the defender laterally or seal, if not covered to get out into the second level. Again he has the feet for it. Because he's an OT he moves better than the average OG and has longer arms than the average OG, so I don't see any issue with stunts. He's been practicing against AD and Brockers who are pretty much better than most of those he's going to face. This is why Snead is drafting OT's to play OG. Demby, Evans and Edwards all collegiate OT's. They have better movement skills and longer arms than the average OG giving them better play radius. Blythe has very short arms, even for a center, which is why he struggles because he can't keep a big 3T from keeping him off the DT's body.

I don't see Noteboom or Allen as weak links. Both have good length and feet.
