They hit on a 50 plus yd TD run early, went for two, got it. And from there on in they didn't want to take a chance on a turnover. They also played 6 OL on a high % of snaps and just ran it down their throats. And it was smart. Do what is needed to win and don't worry about style points.
I know someone who could learn from that in terms of not worrying about style points.
Reminds me of the 99' NFCCG. Vermeil said before that game that they couldn't get careless and allow Tampa's D to beat them with mistakes. They almost did anyway with s couple of picks, but Martz did keep it closer to the vest than normal...and Tampa's offense simply couldn't score.
