Not sure if this has been posted yet, but the Pats did not "run all over the Bills". In fact, the Bills stopped them pretty much all night, except for ONE 64-yard run, when the guy broke thru the line and was gone. I did miss some parts of the game, however.

That's fair. I just went to look at the play by play. A lot of 0, 1, and 2 yard plays. Several three and outs. Only a handful of big plays, one of which was for the TD and two others led to FGs.

The Bills coaching staff should be embarrassed.

There is no way that a team should be able to run the ball that much, all night, and see such high yards per carry up until the final whistle. Especially considering the players that the Bills have on that defence. The Patriots don't even have an elite RB, although their backs are strong, to be sure.

Make some adjustments and FORCE Mac Jones to complete a throw or two.

I know that the conditions were extremely windy. It's not the first extremely windy game we have seen in recent memory. And it will not be the last.

Last night's game looked like something from several generations ago. Cold weather will always see running take priority. But that was unbelievable.
Let's look at some stats....

If we look at the total yardage, there isn't much of a difference:

NE was awful on 3rd downs as well:

Scoring:
NE: 1 TD, 2/2 FG, 1 2PT PAT
BUF: 1 TD, 1/2 FG, 1 1PT PAT

Conclusion:
Maybe the Pats got lucky? The Pats gameplan wasn't necessarily better than the Bills. Outside of the early long run, they didn't move the ball well at all. Both defenses played great, but the Pats were able to close.

they may have cheated against us in 2001 but in 2018 they beat us fair and square whether we like to admit that or not
Um - if you look at a Belicheat video in the Super Bowl, he is running around during a 4th down conversion asking where is McVay because they had cheated by having film of McVay standing next to Goff when they were going to do a fake punt. And having film of opposing teams on the sideline is against the rules.

I am convinced they cheated in that game as well.

So no - they did NOT beat us fair and square

Plus the Cincinnati Bengals caught New England personnel filming the sideline during their game in 2019.

So they are fricking cheaters and I will never ever believe they beat someone fair and square. Belicheat can't help himself.

I hate the Cheatriots, I hate Bellicheat, I hate Bitchy Brady, I hate Kraft, I hate the whole fucking team. Fuck them and their supposed "greatness". The only thing they managed to do was cheat their way to Super Bowls. I will never give that team credit.

Those goalposts were sure swaying with the wind. I haven’t seen it to that extent. Gusts to 55 mph were predicted.

It was a classic "field position" game. Which is Belichick's specialty. He often wins those because his team is disciplined in all three phases.

But also it's important to recognize how hard it is to sustain what offense they did have in that game when they knew they had to keep the ball out of their rookie QB's hands. Buffalo knew that too.

That run game approach requires support from the other two phases. You gotta have strong defense that keeps the score down. And also special teams performing at a high level. Otherwise you lose and everyone's talking about how shitty your offense is. Because their offense was shitty in that they couldn't throw the ball in that element.

Buffalo should have changed their defense? Pats broke a 64 yard td run in between 3, 3 and outs.
Pats had 6 3 and outs in the game.
If Buffalo made errors it was in that they should have run the ball more themselves.
End of the day, BB gets the coaching brilliance award, however if Pats get hit with PI in the end zone, Buffalo wins the game and BB is chastised for over conservative football.

Not only that - but they gifted Buffalo their only TD of the game

Still nuts imo I understand it’s difficult to pass in weather conditions but to only attempt 3? Hell the Bills threw it 30 times

Yeah - especially when you now consider the Ol” shuffle pass
