Actually horse collar is not a foul against a QB in the pocket. It is only called against a runner.Wasn't there also a horse collar on Goff? that could have REALLY screwed us, if you want to talk about "egregious"

It is amazing that a Lousianna lawyer filed a suit that in essence saying NFL should exercise rule 17.And there it is...case closed before it was even opened...
SECTION 2 EXTRAORDINARILY UNFAIR ACTS
ARTICLE 1. COMMISSIONER AUTHORITY. The Commissioner has the sole authority to investigate and take appropriate disciplinary and/or corrective measures if any club action, non-participant interference, or calamity occurs in an NFL game which the Commissioner deems so extraordinarily unfair or outside the accepted tactics encountered in professional football that such action has a major effect on the result of the game.
ARTICLE 2. NO CLUB PROTESTS. The authority and measures provided for in this entire Section 2 do not constitute a protest machinery for NFL clubs to avail themselves of in the event a dispute arises over the result of a game. The investigation called for in this Section 2 will be conducted solely on the Commissioner’s initiative to review an act or occurrence that the Commissioner deems so extraordinary or unfair that the result of the game in question would be inequitable to one of the participating teams. The Commissioner will not apply authority in cases of complaints by clubs concerning judgmental errors or routine errors of omission by game officials. Games involving such complaints will continue to stand as completed.
I blame participation trophies. Those people don't know how to lose.
Our petition did no good apart from shift his and his crews incompetence to another team.
This is a bit dated by I have found nothing that says it has changed and have seen recent statements that concur with what I said.What.. how does that make sense
You all have heard that Goodell has the power based on Rule 17 Section 2 Article 1 to have the game replayed. What is not being talked about is that Rule 17 Section 2 Article 2 states that Article 1 cannot be exercised regarding complaints of referee errors. Page 73 of the below link.

Troy Aikman mentioned it during the replay as well. When he said horse collar is not called on a QB I was like "huh"?This is a bit dated by I have found nothing that says it has changed and have seen recent statements that concur with what I said.

I never heard what kind of impact that petition had. Does anyone know:
1. Who saw it and/or mentioned it? (as in ref crew, nfl, twitter, journalists)
2. Was the one put together from our forum mentioned in social media or was there one from another group of fans?
3. Is there any fallout from it?
I wish Florio had not written that article earlier this week that just energized the already angry fans.
It's beyond the point of embarrassment now. I just want to move on.
I want to think that if the situations were reversed I would have accepted the result, but I'd be lying to myself. It’s one of those "stages of grief" things. Some Saints fans are still stuck in the early stages (it took me weeks to get over 2002 SB loss to Pats and then the Spygate revelations brought it all back again). For the record, Saints fans aren’t mad at the Rams.
They keep harping on the Goff face mask like it didn't matter and like it was the only one. They got away with a facemask on Cooks. At least two delay of game penalties. I've been told there was a 3rd but I didn't see it so I'll stick with two. Refs miss things all the time.
Something went really wrong with this offense and Brees went from looking like an ageless MVP QB to looking his age of 39-40 years old.
You spelled this out so well. If the facemask was called Rams had a great shot at taking the clock down to probably about four minutes, with a 24-20 lead.If the Rams get first and one on the half yard line, more time comes off the clock and more than likely the Rams punch it in for a TD. Assuming we make the PAT (Why would our kicker miss?) we are up 4 and that changes the narrative of the game and how it's played out.
Why can't the Saints crybabies acknowledge that?
