Guys, it wasn't tipped. Angles can be deceiving. Go to the 45 second mark:

BTW, moronic Saints fans keep posting a screenshot of Fowler Jr. allegedly hitting Brees in the helmet with his hand on the INT play. That's another example of angles being deceiving. If you look at all the angles on the video (three different angles), you never see it happen.

Thanks for ruining what is now my short moment of joy!

Yeah, I get it -- but it seems pretty excessive, given that we routinely see worse hits than that never get fined. Hard not to believe this wasn't some kind of retribution to assuage hurting Saints fans.

The fines are incremental, so he must have been fined before.

Why isn't this video doing the rounds? All the angst and angular could have been avoided.

Producers have too much say in what the zombie fans think.

This video will be a backhanded slowdown to any fuckhead that complains about that play.

.
been posting this to ease all the aints fans that are still

Is this why the one ref indicated it was tipped? Game over. Conversation over.
That is exactly why the ref they are blaming everything on indicated the ball was tipped. And if they would watch the video they would see the correct call was made.

BTW guys, is it sinking in that our team is so close to glory? We are about a week away from an experience that we will relive for decades. I used the film and the memory of Super Bowl 34 for many years when we were in the midst of the bad years. Super Bowl 36 was the opposite and was a game which I hadn't watched since I saw it live all those years ago. We were supposed to destroy the Patriots and for various reasons we lost. There is something more painful about losing a game in which we were heavy favorites, unlike this game. This win will carry over for me for the rest of my life, and hopefully it is but one of many coming up. tI think of ThorDaddy and Dave and wish they were with us seeing this hope fulfilled. It's a magical time, that we need to recognize and embrace, because we may not come this way again for many years.

Trust me, guys, the first thing I checked after the game was if it was tipped. We lucked out. But it should be noted that the play is nowhere near as bad in real time. It's easy to make it seem like the worst call ever when showing it in slow motion. Here's a look at it in real time:

I was listening to Colin Cowherd and I don't always agree with him, but he defended the Rams and I agree with his rationale.

The Rams traveled thousands of miles to play the Saints. The stadium was loud and the Rams were out of sync. The Saints built a 13-0 lead and had the Rams on the ropes. But they didn't finish the job. In the end, the Saints had 50 yards rushing and only 290 yards of total offense, including overtime. There were many bad calls against the Saints that were not called.

In the end, the Rams outplayed the Saints. Goff outplayed Brees. The Rams stopped the run. The Saints, even with the "missed call" took the lead and could not stop the Rams from scoring a tying score (if Woods didn't fall down, the Rams would have been up with seconds left).

The Saints at home, got the ball first and turned it over. The better team won.

No asterik amd no complaints.

Let's face it, the Saints were in a slump since the Cowboys beat them down. The Rams were in a funk too, but we snapped out of it. The Saints peaked when they beat the Rams and never recovered. The Rams peaked against the Chefs, slumped but recovered in time to play well again.

The Rams deserve the Super Bowl berth.

By my estimation, the Saints got away with 3 face mask calls (there may have been more). 2 donkey stomp personal fouls, 2 delay of games that' were at critical times. I think holding and PI was a wash on both sides.

I didn't understand at first why Vikings fans said "cry me a river" until I watched the replay from the 2010 NFC championship. Frankly, the Vikings got a worse deal than the Saints this season if you want to compare bad calls.

The fact is Vinavinch crew doesn’t call
a lot of penalties. It was going on all game consistently.

Like when Thomas pulled off NRC’s helmet in the end zone or when the Saints pulled off Natson’s helmet. The list goes on.

But, of the ones they do call, they always call more against the Rams when they are involved in one of our games. Nine out of nine games in a row and counting.

The Saints fans were whining that Rams fans aren't acknowledging that NRC committed pass interference.

For Saints fans, it probably was PI and it wasn't called. Does that make you happy? Now can you crybabies admit that Goff got face masked? And that his left arm got donkey stomped by a Saints players after the face ask call was missed?

If the Rams get first and one on the half yard line, more time comes off the clock and more than likely the Rams punch it in for a TD. Assuming we make the PAT (Why would our kicker miss?) we are up 4 and that changes the narrative of the game and how it's played out.

Why can't the Saints crybabies acknowledge that?

It's not like the Rams go up 4 and the exact same thing happens with Ginn catching a ball thrown up for grabs.

Actually, it wasn't PI because they face-masked Donald on the same play, so there were offsetting penalties.
