Three different sites with different player rankings :D

Think I like the PFN right now. Seems the most realistic for the most part.

I've seen him anywhere from late first to mid second round but this guy is very interesting to me. He also returned a few kicks last year though I don't really want a high draft pick returning kicks.

That Trey Bensen is growing on me too.

Would be absolutely pissed at that draft. Not a fan of either of the DTs, and I'd be upset if we drafted Nix in the second round, let alone the first. It's probably going to happen, though.

Agree with Mem I want nothing to do with Nix.

I’m curious with both of you why you feel that way?

Footwork is mediocre at best and bad when there's any pressure.

He was bad at Auburn and went to Oregon and improved when everything was called and scripted for him. There's nothing in that offense that he's doing it's all designed for him.

I also think he telegraphs the first read and I'm not sure he can process beyond that first read.

Some people are ok with it but I do not like his arm mechinics either.

I really do not like this QB. I'm far from an expert though and because I dislike him so much he'll likely succeed. But not being able to read or process the offense to me added with bad under pressure spells disaster in the NFL especially with the Rams bad OL.

To each their own but don’t know if I could hold it against a kid playing against SEC competition for his first 3 years, having 3 different head coaches those 3 years, especially those teams he played on being only 18,19,20.

Guy has shown in a different and actually a Pro Style offense he has what it takes.

Comp % avg - 75%, 27TD to 4 INT avg. ratio, 3153 yards a season avg. so far and 8.9 yards an attempt avg. while being in Oregon. And he has quite a bit of games left.

No way we even come close to being able to trade up for Maye/Williams without giving up Kupp, Pukua, Donald plus whatever 1sts, 2nds etc.

JJ McCarthy is the only other guy I’d consider us drafting that high, but we need to trade down to plug in some holes. Need to get 5-6 years of a cheap ass QB that can learn under Stafford for a 1-2 years. Yeah I’d jumó all over Nix especially at the bottom of the first.

I like McCarthy much more than Nix. I doubt we'll get one of the top 2 though anything is possible. I'd almost at this point rather get the top LT if we have a pick in the top 10 and go with Ewers in the 2nd. Not a fan of Nix, Penix or Sanders. Jayden Daniels is intriguing.

Why do I feel that way? Sweat and Stackhouse have zero pass rush. I worry a lot about Sweat's work ethic, and Stackhouse is just a body with no potential to improve. If I'm getting a nose tackle, it would be Dontay Corleone; while he may have only a bit more pass-rushing potential than Sweat and Stackhouse, he's one of the best run-stuffing NTs in the country.

Nix was atrocious at Auburn. Like, very, VERY bad. Like, he got benched at Auburn - who didn't really have any better quarterbacks - bad. Granted, he is doing a lot better at Oregon, but so is D.J. Uiagalelei at Oregon State, and we're not thinking of getting him. I can't get past his Auburn tape; it's horrid. And I don't want to take that chance with a first round pick.

Give me Quinn Ewers or McCarthy with a late first, but not Nix. I just have a bad feeling we're going to take him, though; I don't remember the last time the draft has gone my way.

Can I ask you what the big difference was from Ewers first year at Texas and Bo Nix’s ‘ atrocious, very very bad’ years at Auburn that had him play for 3 different HC’s and interims in 3 years?

Because Ewers was a younger quarterback in his first year. A redshirt-freshman, compared to Nix, an older and more experienced quarterback, putting up those stats at Auburn. And think that three coaches barely had confidence in him.

But I’ve long since accepted we’re taking Nix, not Ewers.

Both were 18 their first year of stats?
Nix tried to push through it running a Non-Pro style college offense and a shitty team before he transferred.

-Guy played his first season as an 18 year old for a HC that got fired and an interim coach afterward.
-Next year he played for a coach at 19 with a horrible offense.
-Following year HC got fired for his shitty coaching and finished with an interim HC.

Imagine him doing better in Oregon with a good support staff, offensive HC and a Pro Style offense? Guy has been through it all just exactly like I heard people say Goff was in college the same exact way.

He's out right now but Quinn Ewers is an intriguing QB prospect too.
I'd like to like Ewers but 10 that Texas offense is hard to watch, so many screens and 2) Ewers mechanics are wonky. Clearly has a strong arm and makes many throws with seemingly a flick of the wrist but he's got to come more over the top. As a day 2 pick could be a project that they work with. I'd still prefer Jaxson Dart (if he comes out), his footwork is a mess but I think that can be coached up quicker than throwing mechanics

I don't care if this is a politically incorrect movie now but that movie was hilarious.
How Dare You Greta GIF

How did we get the extra 2nd rounder? Was there a trade down with someone?

~ArkyRamsFan~
Trade down yes, don't remember the details but this one I'm tagging Memento with has more offers for by teams. TBH how things are shaping up thinking JJ McCarthy is going to be a rock solid top 10 pick if the trend continues it's way up like he's been.

@Memento
Okay damn you for not liking my picks how about this one?:sunglasses:

KRIS ABRAMS-DRAINE?! FUCK YES, ALL MY LOVE.

Not sure about Umanmelien in the second; I think someone will slip, such as a Cooper Beebe type, and we can get a good edge rusher in free agency or even later in the draft. I actually like Braswell a lot more than Umanmelien.

Love the Lachey pick, but he's going to go a lot higher; he's probably my second-rated tight end in this class behind Bowers.
