I'm not sure it will work, it could be anarchy with several players picking the same guy as it's kind of a free for all at this stage. I Might have to abstain.
Yeah, I think it would be a mess. We'd need to know our teams' caps, which I for one, have no clue about, especially when signing players for multiple years for X amount.

But TK, how did it go the last time we did it?

L.A. Rams full ROD mock draft :

3) OG - Jamaree Salyer, Ga.
4a) TE - Jelani Woods, Va.
4b) RB - Tyler Algeier, BYU
5) CB - Demarion Williams, Houston
6a) Edge - Amare Barno, Va.Tech
6b) ILB - Jack Sanborn, Wi.
6c) P - Jordan Stout, PennSt.
6d) Edge - Dominique Robinson, Mi.(Oh)
7a) FS - Percy Butler, La.
7b) CB - Kalon Barnes, Baylor

The above mock draft anticipates the Rams re-signing WR OBj and signing free agent S Tyrann Mathieu soon after the draft concludes. The Rams managed two trades, one allowing us to move up in the 3'rd round after moving Taylor Rapp, and the other gave us two later round picks by trading Tutu Atwell.

The one mistake I'd likely change in a do-over is with 5'th round draft pick Demarion Williams. I somehow got him mixed up with Joshua Williams who went a round earlier. Otherwise, I'm quite pleased with this mock draft, although I know some would have preferred a higher emphasis at CB, I just didn't like where many of the players at this position were falling for me.

Yep. Incredible @TK42-RAM I've watched this entire thing go down and it is the smoothest mock I've ever seen. Hell of a job.

Thanks RF ! :clinkingbeer:

Thanks should also go to @IE Rams and @Ramrocket for their timely assists.

… and all players for making this a fun and worthwhile exercise, has me looking forward to the actual draft to compare our mock to the real one.

Maybe, following the final selection, we just mention some players who we would consider picking up as free agents?

… it actually didn’t work too badly , may have just been fortunate that players didn’t post at the same time. I think the teams just signed 4-5 players each. It’s surprising how different people value different traits so I don’t think we got too many double ups.

I just ran through the 2020 ROD Mock draft ( https://ramsondemand.com/threads/2020-official-rod-mock-draft.60916/page-58 ) - some interesting picks two years ago ( @Karate61 picking up Cam Akers in the 3rd round  ) -- and we didn't do the free agents - it may have been 2018 that we did it.

I'm looking forward to collating the results following the draft and see who wins the prestigious DaveFan'51 award.

Sorry to hold this up lads

With their final pick the Bucs select

Snoop Conner RB Mississippi

Overview
Rocked up runner with aggressive disposition and relatively low mileage on his tires. Conner is a scheme-versatile runner, which could help him as he transitions to the next level. He's more than willing to choose violence on every snap but rarely allows that mindset to prevent him from seeking out less-trafficked pathways with his vision. He will run himself into some tackles because of his red-hot tempo, but ironically, he's a patient and highly effective short-yardage back. Conner's disappointing showing at the NFL Scouting Combine is hard to ignore, though, and could hurt his standing with evaluators. Conner has three-down talent and projects as a good committee back with the frame to carry a workload if needed.
Strengths
  • Game-ready physique with thick, muscular frame.
  • Runs with desired combination of bend and balance.
  • Has ability to play in gap or zone running schemes.
  • Decisive and crisp as a one-cut runner.
  • Plays with a blend of vision and violence near the end zone.
  • Able to maneuver through run creases effectively.
  • Body control and foot agility create sudden cuts.
  • Meets force with force when finishing his runs.
  • No lack of toughness in protecting his quarterback.
  • Squares up and proactively strikes the blitzer.
Weaknesses
  • Can be a step slow when forced to decipher block development.
  • Runs like his gas pedal is stuck.
  • Gets on top of defenders too quickly to make moves.
  • Not very dynamic or creative in space.
  • Needs to learn to run linebackers into blocks.
  • May not be able to turn the corner versus NFL linebackers.
  • Limited experience as a third-down option.

A solid A-Grade from me. I think you did an excellent job adding depth and developmental players to the roster.

I wouldn't knock yourself out on the CB position. After all, you (the Rams) didn't have a chance for any pics until the 3rd. And, 3rd round and up is no guarantee you're drafting an instant starter.

If I had to fight for a "maybe something I might of done different" thing, I might of taken a corner at your 4a) pick and bounced the TE pick down a slot or two, considering the Rams do currently have some depth at TE, and you could say a TE pick would be more developmental down the road; where the Rams do need corner depth right now.

So, there's my review. Again. I really like your pics. You can tell you're really up on the Rams draft needs!
