With the 252nd selection the Bengals select

Jalen Nailor WR Michigan St

Overview
Speedy outside target with field-stretching talent who has been beset by injuries in three separate seasons. Nailor is sudden but smooth with his route release and his gliding gait tends to mask his acceleration, allowing him to climb quickly past the coverage. While he can work deep, he has the agility and body control to become a more effective route specialist on all three levels. Nailor is a competitor but has some trouble winning battles against stronger, physical corners. Teams will need to weigh the playmaking speed against the injury background, but Nailor has the talent to become an NFL backup.
Strengths
  • State champion sprinter with nickname "Speedy."
  • Ready to stomp on the accelerator at a moment's notice.
  • Attacks the cushion and leverage at a threatening pace.
  • Adjusts vertical route to stack the coverage.
  • Fluid stop-and-go for winning double moves.
  • Sharp route cuts with burst to separate.
  • Run blocking matters to him.
  • Gets to positioning and braces up with sustain footwork.
Weaknesses
  • Missed extensive time due to injury in 2018, 2019 and 2021.
  • Physical coverage takes him out of his rhythm.
  • Occasional focus drops on stop routes and hitches.
  • Somewhat sporadic downfield tracking and adjustment.
  • Gives away catch space too readily.
  • Missing hand strength to finish when contested.

Rams - Pick #253 is their final selection, ... welcome CB KALON BARNES, Baylor.

Barnes finished the Combine by recording the 2'nd fastest 40 time in its history, blazing a 4.23 run, ... and he does play Special Teams as a returner.

Chargers - Pick #254 = OG TYRESE ROBINSON, Ok.

Chargers - Pick #255 = CB JA'QUAN McMILLIAN, ECU

With The 258th Pick

In The Seventh Round

Of The 2022

ROD NFL Mock Draft

The Green Bay Packers Select:

Zakoby McClain

Linebacker

Auburn

HHEVDXBKT5DMTM4GFILQSWNXMQ.jpg

Overview

Height: 5' 11"

Weight: 228 lbs

40 Yard Dash: 4.69

Zakoby McClain is a bit of a test between a player who knows how to play the position versus someone with the physical tools to do so.

A three-year contributor at Auburn, his defining traits are speed and hustle. McClain shows sideline-to-sideline range and a nonstop motor that helps him rack up tackles down the field or to the perimeter. His energy also shows up when sifting through traffic in the run game, which is a noticeable improvement he made between 2020 and 2021.

McClain sees the game well, too. He not only triggers quickly against zone like any decent linebacker, but he has plenty of reps against pulling plays in which he met a pulling blocker in the backfield and helped create some muck at the point of attack. The same baseline level processing shows up in coverage. McClain does a good job gaining proper depth, feeling routes develop around him, and squeeze routes based on the quarterback's eyes.

And a huge shout out to TK for his outstanding job of wrangling all us knuckleheads to put on a kick ass draft -- a thankless and herculean feat. Your patience and leadership are hereby recognized and appreciated.

Good on ya, TK :clinkingbeer:
Yep. Incredible @TK42-RAM I've watched this entire thing go down and it is the smoothest mock I've ever seen. Hell of a job.

Or how about selecting UDFA's, there is still some talent available.

Sure, why not? We’ve done that in the past … I think usually it’s been first in best dressed as soon as the ROD Mock ends .. How many additional players each ?

I'm not sure it will work, it could be anarchy with several players picking the same guy as it's kind of a free for all at this stage. I Might have to abstain.
